November 7, 20195 yr Author leaking doesn't really matters that much... Westlife's Love album was leaked a month prior to it's release 13 years ago, and if i am not mistaken it was their fastest selling album ever... Oh I don't remember that but yeah big record companies can easily block leakages specially these days
November 7, 20195 yr Author From what I remember it was The Rose that leaked a week before its release and it charted at #143 in the UK Singles Chart before zooming all the way to #1
November 7, 20195 yr Author Oh I feel so bad for Celine...What was Sony doing. And they are the most conservative and less techie when it comes to streaming compared to Warner and Universal
November 7, 20195 yr it's strange that they lost a lot their power in the UK while they maintained it in Ireland over the years and even today...
November 7, 20195 yr Author Not really. England is the most populated, urbanised, Americanized, trendy country of UK. They are the first ones that supported Westlife the most and they are also the first one that left them like all of other urbanised European countries that Westlife were once popular. Because they are not the trend anymore and past their prime a long time ago. Adding salt to the wound were the number one oversaturation, covers, and continuous ballad releases. Westlife's longevity was because of their intensive promotion every year in the 2000s and can still sell loads of albums up to this day. Ireland of course because they are Irish it was like every household in Ireland has a Westlife CD and was like the term Westlife is on their music educational system lol Irish and UK charts used to be in sync before most of the time especially to Westlife but because things have changed, more technology and leisure choices came in, more Americanized financially bigger, backed promotions, it is not the case anymore. It's just natural. Like I said before their chart run was like ABBA. But Westlife stayed longer than them. my father is a fan of ABBA and I'm a Westlife fan. He smiled when he heard their version of I Have a Dream. What happened to their comeback by the way? But Charis, they can still sell tickets and albums and does have hit singles in 2019 and it's a rare feat for an act that is out for a long time and a twenty year band. November 7, 20195 yr So excited for next week! Hopefully Celine Dions leak will affect sales although I don't see her as serious competition. Hope we get to hear another song before release.
November 7, 20195 yr Author I cannot contain my excitement lomadz they said many tracks didn't make the cut (like the Anywhere and Only Got Tonight tracks) so the songs here should really be excellent, uptempo or ballads. How true is this? @1192447495101534208 If this is true, this is their first studio album not to have a cover... Whoa first the ballad choice before the album premiere and now this, brave. their pre orders must be up there somewhere. What do you think? Well it's Universal style not to pursue covers that's why Memories by M5 and I Feel Love by Sam Smith are new to me. I remember when Shane signed up for a record deal in 2013, they said go to Nashville and write some songs and they did. Edited November 7, 20195 yr by myxxd
November 7, 20195 yr You need to relax a bit, Celine haven't had a #1 album in the UK for 17 years now... She had a few #1 albums back when she was at her peak but since then she didn't seem to have maintained a core fanbase.. Whatever the promo she does, Westlife will be all over the place from next week, with 2 TV appearances and a huge presale... I would expect Spectrum to comfortably shift more than 50.000 copies in the opening week.. In any case, if after all this Celine beats Westlife, that means we didn't deserve it so there be it..

To be fair there is not much in it - Westlife haven’t had a UK #1 album in 12 years, their last two studio albums peaked at #2 and #3 and the Greatest Hits at #4....
November 7, 20195 yr To be fair though, Celine's last album reached #3 in the UK so its not dead certain she will be #1 this time.
November 8, 20195 yr Author How true is this? @1192447495101534208 How reliable is chartoo.com? Because these are the same names on their site. I've read they are linked to Apple music. I have no apple account so I cannot see Edited November 8, 20195 yr by myxxd
November 8, 20195 yr 1 week today and we finally get the album! I have taken the morning off work. So excited! If they are touring next year do you think there is a chance of another album in 2020?
