festival season is approaching so I figured I'd make a topic in here just incase some of y'all have summer plans to go to any? :o

I went to Rebellion in Blackpool last year but it was more something I got roped into going to rather than a festival I really wanted to be at but I did have a good enough time  this year however I am making my Slamdunk debut at the Leeds date and I couldn't be more excited! it's been on my list of festivals I've wanted to do for years along with Reading/Leeds and Download, would also probs do a Big Weekend but that would depend on the line up :kink:

Pls tell me there's some of you going to Slamdunk next month too as that would be cool

Just going to Isle of Wight this year (hoping to see DMAs, Gerry Cinnamon, Lily Allen, Courteeners, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, Sam Fender, Picture This, Bastille, George Ezra, Mystery Jets, Idles, Biffy Clyro and Richard Ashcroft).

I was going to Slam Dunk south but can't now. Insane line-up though - I'd be by the mainstays all day with Waterparks, As It Is, All Time low, Neck Deep and more!

literally where I'm gonna be most of the day! I had a look at the schedule and thankfully there's not any major clashes although there's a few I'll be disappointed to miss but I'd expected that when it's only the one day :') if all goes to plan I'll get to see Milk Teeth, Hot Milk, As It Is, Waterparks, Simple Plan, Neck Deep, Lights and All Time Low! Lights, Hot Milk, As It Is and Waterparks are my must-sees tbh, I also wanted to see Grandson but I can't if I'm seeing Neck Deep and also Seaway but they clash with Waterparks I think. Boston Manor, The Story So Far and Real Friends too but I can live without seeing them live. I've seen ATL like four times before so I wasn't too bothered about seeing them again but I don't think there's any other bands I wanna see when theyre on so I may as well!

most of the group of friends I'm going with are all into punk music so I'm fully prepared to have to go off on my own to see the band's I want to  That Isle of Wight line up looks great as well!!

The Story So Far aren't there this year - so I'm hoping they will be next year when I do go!

Forgot about Simple Plan as well - they perform the What's New Scooby Doo theme live sometimes

wait who am I thinking of it it's not the story so far?! doesn't matter, I won't be seeing them anyway :kink:

I've never been to a music festival lmao - just been to a bunch of individual concerts!

..and I've been to like, the local annual arts festival which has music included but that's not rly the same thing ha.

I’ve just got All Points East and Field Day this year. Christine and the Queens, James Blake, Beach House, The Strokes, Pusha T and Diplo are the ones I’m most excited about.

APE line-up couldn’t compete with last year’s though—Björk closing the festival was insane, best live show I’ve ever been to. (Ha Mattias I still need to reply to your PM about that, sorry it’s taken me months 🙃)

Gutted I’m not going to Glastonbury this year. I’m not impressed with the line-up at all but it’d still be great regardless of that, really hope I manage to get tickets again next year.

Hasn’t felt that way to me the past two times I’ve been there

Well looking at the videos from the last weekend compared to UK festivals it definitely is!

ahaha it's okay, I'd forgotten about that! I went to see her at the Eden Sessions myself, was great to finally see / hear her live :3 It was a Utopia show but she finished with 'Notget' which I found strangely fitting and beautiful in its own way.

I'm going to Glastonbury again this year, and I'm looking forward to it so much. You're right that it's great regardless, think I'd love it even if there were barely any acts I wanted to watch but personally think this years lineup is loads better than 2 years ago when I went, there's going to be so many clashes. Already praying that Hot Chip aren't headlining a Saturday stage at the same time as the Chemical Brothers.

going to a medium-sized festival in Denmark called Northside, 6th year in a row, they always have some of my favourites

this year Bon Iver are headlining so it's gonna be great

Big Weekend if that counts :kink:

sure x

that's one I've wanted to go to in the past when they've had a really good line-up, not too sure on who's playing this year tho

It's my fave Big Weekend line up in years this year!

The 1975 (headlining), Catfish and the Bottlemen, Bring Me the Horizon, Two Door Cinema Club, Pale Waves, Vampire Weekend, Foals and Twenty One Pilots are all there!
