April 26, 20196 yr PS. the reading challenge was one of THE worst in history. It says all when Brooke is the standout!
April 26, 20196 yr Oooooh I loved the runway this week. I thought A'Keria did really well in the challenge as did Brooke, and whilst Brooke did have more of a complex runway, it didn't give me that WOW moment that I think you all saw. Nina's look was by far and away my favourite. Absolutely GORGEOUS! That polka dot lining? GET IT. Unpopular opinion for this season but Nina's runways are some of my favourites? I always love her attention to colour and high concept. I know she's not super-polished like Brooke but there's such fun in what she does. Agreed! Brooke, Yvie and Nina for me, all for totally different reasons. Akeria too when she's on it but that's only been 2 or 3 out of the 8 runways. The only time I haven't liked Nina's looks were of course week one which was VILE and also I wasn't a fan of her orange alert look, but other than that I agree she always has fun with a look and has an idea to it and that's the kind of drag I can really get behind. You can do so much with a look that isn't as polished by just having fun, making it colourful and campy.
April 27, 20196 yr The challenge was a mess this week - Brooke Lynn was the only decent one (and she killed it to be fair), I'll allow A'Keria and Yvie too but otherwise it was embarrassing - especially Vanjie and Plastique's scene. Brooke killed it on the runway too, how she didn't win the week is yet another baffling decision made by Ru I'm kinda sad to see Plastique go but she has been drifting for a few weeks now
April 27, 20196 yr From this episode, I'm finding it hard to keep Yvie at "favourite" for me, she's just losing her fun and spunk at a time when Brooke, Yvie and finally A'keria are bringing it in spade loads :( Oops, wrong thread. Can this be moved to LADP lol?
April 28, 20196 yr Agreed actually, this episode wasn't a miss for Yvie in the way it was for Plastique on both the runway and challenge, but in both cases I just felt like she could have done more, more than anything else. The runway was fine but they summed it up well on Fashion Photo Ruview, the Facekini thing should really be right up her alley and we're left just feeling "oh ok that's good I guess" which is slightly disappointing. Hopefully she nabs another win soon! I'm sure she'll back on her game next week, but rn it just looks like Brooke is running away with this if this momentum carries on.
