OK. It was the Bits and Pieces 7 thread I first tried to open. Fair enough if we were close to a new thread, so long as the mods fix the links.

 

I think this title and subtitle clarify what Bits and Pieces is. It's not an off topic chat thread and it never was one.

Why is our general discussion thread pinned? Who requested it?

 

 

I've found Bits & Pieces 7 for you, guys. It got a bit lost in the shuffle. You can either use that or start #8.

Let's put all the hassle behind and start 8 with the clarification subtitle in the retro forum or create a pinned sub forum

Shan't bother with it now. It was a thread for everyone in retro with very loose connection to Darius Something you asked in the AF got me thinking.

 

What about a Darius Lounge Thread for some off topic stuff we can talk about as Darius Forum Members and this Bits and Pieces strictly for stuff about Darius!

It could I suppose break down the barriers and link our community more to the wider community. To be honest the chat in the Darius forum has always been pretty much about Darius.

By all means let's use this thread to keep news together but we should also be able to open comment threads about certain news items, like we did with the Funny Girl Tour.

I think this thread should be renamed 'The Darius Lounge' it is just has a nice name to it imo! You can put on the opening post a picture of Darius sitting in a lounge (not sure if there is one though)!

I'm not sure whether the Darius chaise longue/ sofa pictures have transferred. There were quite a few together on one thread in the AF.

 

We're continuing the Bits and Pieces 7 thread for Darius centred comments, brief tweets/comments in the media, rumours about future activities etc.

We can't delete it because the archive links are at the beginning.

I can't see why not but it's not up to me.

 

If iit's clearly marked Darius then those who don't like him/us can avoid it. Others should be welcome too.

 

Ok I will start it. Maybe we should close this thread then so as to not have two threads with general Darius discussion, which I am sure popchartfreak understandably wouldn't like as we would be taking over the Retro Lounge too much!

Also, the mods are respectful enough to actually PIN this main Darius thread. They could easily have not done so.

I for one hardly ever remember to look at pinned threads That was true in the AF too. I always saw the pinned threads as an archive not to be sullied with too many comments/discussions.

 

Guys, I'll just split the discussion if you like and you can keep using this thread for Darius, no need to start a whole new thread.

 

And yes, let's draw a line under the general mod sniping/tantrum throwing, the mods did set up this thread for your own benefit so let's not assume this is a power trip.

Btw I would still like this to be renamed 'The Darius Lounge' rather than the long title it has now, what do the rest of the former Darius forum users think though?

I don't think both Bits and Pieces and The Darius Lounge one will be needed, as they are both for the same thing, general discussion. I think 'The Darius Lounge' is a better name than Bits and Pieces so maybe Bits and Pieces 7 should be closed and replaced with 'The Darius Lounge' or just renamed that.
