To be left alone, the family should simply be honest about whether Darius was physically or mentally ill or both or neither. When they just tell why he was at the Mayo Clinic, tabloids and Twitter will stop speculating. They kept the news of his death to themselves for five days, which I get, but I don't get their behavior now. It almost seems as if they want to keep Darius in conversation for the next few weeks.

Colourblind was a summer BOP!! Wasn't it like on all the radio stations etc? Like, one of the biggest songs of the summer?

They kept the news of his death to themselves for five days, which I get, but I don't get their behavior now. It almost seems as if they want to keep Darius in conversation for the next few weeks.

It's because they DON'T KNOW. NOBODY KNOWS, HOW or WHY Darius died at this point or WHY he was in that flat in those hospital grounds.This is why it's being investigated. If his family want privacy to grieve then they have a right to ask for that. Everyone needs to remember Darius was a HUMAN BEING and a FAMILY has lost their SON AND BROTHER as it said in the statement. I'm sure the last thing they would want is people coming to their own conclusions or speculating. I believe if they knew anything they would of told us in the statement. Everyone show some respect please.

In the official singles chart?! 20 summers later, it has returned to the top of the singles chart, a true summer bop! Darius would be pleased, and maybe he is, looking down!
Can't believe it's been a week since we heard the sad news and 12 days since he passed away. Still can't believe he's never coming back :(

And to make it all worse, Pete Wellerman said they were planning a Michael Bubre-style comeback for him!! And he said he could have bren even BUGGER than Bubre in the charts!

 

We all know Darius was the KING of comebacks, so he would have smashed it :( What a success story that would have been, 20 years after Colourblind!

If it's appropriate to post? D's funeral took place today. I didn't think his family would be allowed to have it until the toxology report came through but at least they have been allowed to bury him and not had the extra agony of having to wait until the results come through. If it's appropriate to post. I thought people would want to know. Today I found out through Facebook that the reason D's funeral was able to go ahead is because an inquest will happen later in the year it will have been opened but adjourned to allow his funeral to happen. Still don't believe he's gone. May he rest in peace :(

Don't get me wrong I would love to hear New songs from D but I don't think I'd like to hear someone else singing them. If his family wanted to release the album on his behalf I'd be happy. If it's ready of course! but I believe it should be his family's choice now. No one else's unless they say it's ok.
