They've all posted something about 'a new era' on their Instagrams - so we're finally getting the lead from the fifth album!

 

From the random singles they've released over the last 2 years, I've really liked Rich Love, Connection and Bones. Start Again was good as well.

No Vacancy has been the best for me since their last album!

They haven’t released anything decent since Wherever I Go. These standalone singles since the last album have all been pretty terrible, although No Vacancy wasn’t too bad but got old very quickly. I’d love for them to go back to their old sound, their first 3 albums (and 4th tbh) are all modern masterpieces. But yeah, these awful dance-y singles have all been terrible and sound like they’re just doing anything for a hit. Marshmello & Bastille’s ‘Happier’ is something that I would’ve liked from OneRepublic, a song that would do well in the charts but still sounds very much them.

 

It’s sad because they’re probably my 2nd favourite act of all-time, so I really hope that they give us something at least half decent this time around, because they’re capable of so much.

I thought the verses did, like their more acoustic stuff.

This is really good! Definitely not a hit though tbh. It’s like Wherever I Go and Counting Stars mixed and watered down a bit.
