Posted November 8, 200619 yr Girls Aloud to suffer McFly success 07 November 2006 - 15:54:51 Source Music Week McFly's Island-issued Motion In The Ocean looks set to topple Girls Aloud's best of compilation from the lead spot, one week after it registered the first UK albums number one for the all-girl group. McFly are currently in battle with Jamiroquai, who has also released a singles package through Columbia, although sales for both acts are currently very close. Damien Rice's follow-up to O, 9 Songs (Heffa/14th floor), has also shifted enough units to knock Scissor Sisters and Razorlight from this week's upper eschelon. Meanwhile, other albums from Angelis (Syco), Paul Weller (Island/Polydor) and Katherine Jenkins (UCJ) are also poised to hit the Top 20. On the singles chart this week, there is little movement by way of new entries although U2 and Green Day are ascending the rundown from number six with charity single, The Saints Are Coming (Vertigo). ===================================================================== Singles 01 Westlife - The Rose 13k 02 U2/Green Day - The Saints Are Coming 10k 03 All Saints - Rock Steady 7k Top 5 Madonna - Jump *Climber* Top 10 Sugababes - Easy *Climber* Top 15 Paul Weller - Wild Blue Yonder *New Entry* Akon feat. November 9, 200619 yr Infernal listed twice? The Rose, ffs who is buying it? :( Maybe it will fall towards the end of the week as Saturday sales kick-in? :/ :(
November 9, 200619 yr i read that all saints are only 1 k ahead of fedde, is that true? apparently madonna is at #7 and sugababes still at #9. i read that there is only 60 copies between positions 5 and 7.

November 9, 200619 yr Author Is there much chance of Sugababes climbing They are about 400 copies behind GA nos.4-9 are pretty close, hard one to predict
November 9, 200619 yr Author And I throw in McFly's single position for a laugh #20, and it could fall even further by Sunday  Chart run 1-9- (24) - OUT
November 9, 200619 yr Really pleased about this. Jammyrocky album is great, forgotten how many great singles jk has released. Well done to Westlife. Luv em or hate em a #1 is a #1, cover or not. keep going guys, only 7 or 8 to beat elvis!
November 9, 200619 yr Sales for the top 3 seem quite low to me. I always thought this week would be a battle between 3 songs that would have been guaranteed #1 on any other week. But it looks now that all 3 will sell less than 'Star Girl' did
November 9, 200619 yr Author "This is not real Love" Top 15 :cheer: does anyone know the exact position ? One place higher than 15 ;)
