May 31, 20205 yr Author The Championship season is set to resume on 20 June, more than three months after it was suspended because of the coronavirus pandemic. The EFL said the date was "provisional" and "subject to the strict proviso that all safety requirements and government guidance is met". There are 108 matches remaining, plus the play-off semi-finals and final.
June 5, 20205 yr Author Season-ticket holders at Championship clubs will be able to watch their team's remaining regular-season games online, the EFL has announced. Access, via the iFollow service, will be determined by the club with which the supporter holds the season ticket. It "may be in lieu of a refund or part of a wider package as determined by each individual club". The arrangement includes any of the 30 regular-season games involving their club being shown by Sky Sports. None of the remaining 108 games will be shown on free-to-air television, while watching a stream of an individual Championship fixture via iFollow will cost a non-season ticket holder £10.
June 8, 20205 yr Author Pep Clotet will leave his position as Birmingham City head coach at the end of the season. The Spaniard, 43, has been allowed to leave the Championship club to "explore other coaching opportunities".

June 10, 20205 yr Author Stoke City manager Michael O'Neill has tested positive for Covid-19 after the latest round of testing on Monday.
June 10, 20205 yr Author Matty Fryatt is suing Nottingham Forest after he claims the club mismanaged the injury which ended his career.
June 10, 20205 yr He did spend the vast majority of his career here injured and didn't really do anything afterwards. It wouldn't surprise me that much unfortunately if there was something that was the clubs fault.
June 10, 20205 yr Author Businessman Paul Elliott is the new owner and chairman of Charlton Athletic after his consortium completed their takeover of East Street Investments. ESI bought the Addicks from previous owner Roland Duchatelet in January. Tahnoon Nimer and Matt Southall, who were at the forefront of that deal, later fell out and they will no longer be involved with the Championship club.
June 20, 20205 yr West Brom and Fulham both struggling today! Yet all the teams at the bottom end of the table either won or managed a draw. Another win from Wigan! They were dead and buried 6 games ago but they’ve went on quite a run winning four out of their last five and not conceding!
June 21, 20205 yr Leeds also getting beat from Cardiff 2-0! Anytime Leeds have a chance of putting themselves into a good position they somehow seem to f*** it up! I still dislike Cardiff with the whole Sala business so would prefer them staying down!
June 22, 20205 yr As is often the case, Leeds created far more chances that the opposition but couldn't convert, Bamford even managed to block one of hims team mates shots on the line! If they continue to play like that they should be fine. Leeds v Fulham and WBA v Brentford this weekend, will show whether there's much of a race or not. I hope Brentford can win on Friday and put the pressure on the top 2.
June 22, 20205 yr Author A technical issue hit the streaming of Championship games, prompting some fans to miss the start of the first matches back after the coronavirus pandemic. With games having to be played behind closed doors, the English Football League enabled clubs to stream them. Fans expressed frustration on social media after being unable to log in to some clubs' iFollow service. The EFL said the service was restored within 15 minutes and apologised to fans "for the inconvenience caused". An EFL spokesperson said: "We unfortunately experienced a small disruption at the start of today's 3pm fixtures that affected approximately eight clubs. "The issue was a result of an overload on servers at our streaming partners who resolved the matter within 15 minutes of the kick-off and supporters were then able to enjoy coverage of their respective matches. "
June 23, 20205 yr Feel sorry for Woodgate. I always had a tiny soft spot for Middlesbrough but hopefully they go down now
June 23, 20205 yr Would have thought they'll stay up now with that change. A change Barnsley might have caught Woodgate's side. Woodgate was on a hiding to nothing with far too much pressure, but bringing through some academy lads the only thing he's done with any success.
