A first Wimbledon encounter between Federer and Nadal since that 2008 epic, probably the best final I've seen.

I was about to say surely that can't be right? (Had to go check and it isn't they all did in 2007 also, still that's remarkable considering you think how much they've dominated the past 15 years)

I really hope the Federer vs. Nadal match lives up to the hype! I feel Fed has the edge on grass but Nadal has played far better than I thought he would this tourno & if of course the form guy going into this. Djovokic is still definitely the favourite overall I would say.

oh shit yeah i forgot about that! school boy error 🙈 but like you say dobbo, how they’re still dominating this much!!

Some comfortable wins for Serena Williams and Simona Halep who will meet in the final after Serena won 6-1 6-2 against Barbora Strycova and Simona won 6-1 6-3 against Elina Svitolina. I hope the men's semi-finals are a lot more closer, well I'm sure Federer/Nadal will be.
What a legend Federer is but don't think I can bear watch Djokovic beat him in the final again!

Still a great match between Federer and Nadal although it wasn't like 2008. It was a good game between two of the greats.

YES Halep :yahoo: didn't watch the match as was watching quali but looks like she absolutely demolished Serena there. 7 ladies finals in a row that only took 2 sets.

And supremely pleasing to see Serena bottle YET ANOTHER final, cheerio equaling Court's record :D

Great win for Halep. Again the media were almost giving the trophy to Serena. Well they have to eat their words now.
Such great play from Halep, and a long time coming for her, she's been in contention to win the title for most of this decade but never actually pulled it out so very pleased for her! :D
HALEP played incredibly well and her usual ghosts didn't show up :)

Really impressive display from Halep today, the sort of performance that shows she deserved to win the title!

The men’s doubles final was interesting too, a five set thriller that lasted almost five hours! Mahut in yet another long match at Wimbledon. :D
