Madonna dropped back from her midweek place which i thought she would remain Top 40.

The Killers staying Top 10 :)

Chasing Cars not in the Top 100 is disappointing.

Do people actually take the charts seriously, what a joke. Ed Sheeran I Don't Care out of the top 100. Why oh why did anyone allow ridiculous streaming in the charts

Madonna is at number 16 on the actual sales chart which is the only chart that counts imo

That's nothing to do with streaming, it's to do with the 3-track rule only allowing 3 songs per primary artist.

The Lighthouse Family remaining Top 30 is a good outcome for them on its 3rd week of chart life.

The charts are still a joke, you can't honestly tell me it's right

It's only their 2nd week...

it would be ridiculous to have a singles chart without streaming, you can go top 100 on iTunes with 10 sales

you want songs to chart based on 10 sales? I don't :/

It's better than one artist having all of their songs from their album in the Top 20.

It's unfortunate more than anything else. I Don't Care got unlucky to hit ACR this week with the album release. It's going to make for an ugly chart run when it re-enters inevitably but ultimately, that's the way the system works and I don't think there's a better option right now.

Digital Sales Data estimates it to be about 40 sales for #100, and that's within the last 24 hours. Over a full week that would give you 280 sales from iTunes only. This week's #98 on sales (JAY1 - Mocking It) sold 425 downloads, so it's not quite as low as 10, let's not overexaggerate even if sales are obviously poor.

you have to accept reality, the singles charts have to represent music comsumption

a downloads only wouldn't be representative, sales are too low

that website digitalsalesdata is known for overestimating data

the #1 song is selling nowadays 7K per week, thats 1K per day on average, meaning 2K per day on good days like Friday/Saturday

but just 500 copies per day on low days like Wed/Thu

the #100 track is selling 0.02 relative to #1

that's 10 copies on a Wed or Thu... pure mash :)

The most-downloaded song this week sold 9k. 0.02 of that is 180 sales per week, or about 25 sales a day. However, as I mentioned, this week's #98 on sales sold 425 downloads so it's not quite as dire as you're making it out to be.

For a song so successful that is good but with it hitting Number 2 on iTunes i thought it may have charted higher.
