July 28, 20195 yr Unbreakable is such a brilliant album, 15,000 sales or 15m. I think so anyway.... (am also a massive fan of Control, RN1814 and All For You).
July 28, 20195 yr I did ask people how Janet should be treated after "Leaving Neverland" and there were responses like "f*** her too", "she's responsible" etc So I tend to think her future prospects are errrr...
July 28, 20195 yr The early 90s were a bit like these days: albums spent lots of time on charts but yet didn't reach even platinum or double platinum. The Cranberries is another example: "Everybody Else..." was a #1, spent over 80 weeks in top 75 and is certified "only" double platinum. In the future, people are gonna be surprised when counting down the amount of double platinum albums of Ariana Grande and Drake. Edited July 28, 20195 yr by SKOB
July 28, 20195 yr Cranberries could have milked Everybody Else and release many more singles, the album is full of great songs, but instead they moved super fast to album 2 and released No Need to Argue very quickly Everybody else reached #1 at the end of June/early July and No Need to Argue already followed in October I think thats why its sales are not spectacular... also it was in the charts in the summer when sales are generally lower... and overall album sales in that period are low that said, people are not stupid, albums now can accumulate "sales" due to the songs being on a million playlists like Ariana, but those are not real sales, those are just streams from playlists that the occ decides to consider as album sales :)

July 28, 20195 yr I don’t like the velvet rope album but control and rhythm nation are both classic albums. I like some of the stuff on Janet too.
