Today marks 5 years since Shawn released his debut EP on 28 July 2014 :o

 

What are your thoughts on the EP now? Do you go back to any of the songs from it often? Has Shawn grown a lot both lyrically and musically for you since this?

I remember the EP being released so vividly and badly wanting him to tour, even if there was barely any material to go with at the time :lol: (eventually got to see him live for the first time in 2016!) I still love all of the songs on the EP too - it was great that both Life of the Party and The Weight were included on Handwritten, but Show You and One of Those Nights are both absolute gems too :wub:

 

Only recently (in the last couple of years) ordered a physical copy of the EP, so it's now got pride of place alongside the three albums!

I only paid a brief bit of attention to the EP I must admit - Life of the Party was solid but it didn't grip me until much later! It's cute and I really like The Weight from the other racks in particular, but of course he's come into his own a lot more since.
