14. Oasis ~ Half the World Away

Year charted: 2015

Official chart peak: #56

Sales chart peak: #29

Points scored in final: 126

Group position: 1st

Points scored in group: 114

Originally released as a B-side in the 90s this eventually charted on its own after a cover version was used in the John Lewis Christmas ad. It's better known than quite a few of their actual singles anyhow so at least it has a top 75 peak.

13. Anton Powers & Pixie Lott ~ Baby

Year charted: 2017

Official chart peak: #97

Sales chart peak: #31

Points scored in final: 127

Group position: 3rd

Points scored in group: 76

Anton Powers gave Pixie Lott an unlikely top 100 hit as late as 2017, but a lack of streaming really hammered its chart peak and neither artist has made the chart since.

I don’t even think I’ve heard that Henry Krinkle track before let alone seeing it get to #41 :o

Hear it ya hoe x

A dance mod saying that!

Baby peaked only at #97. :o

Aww it's so good.

How did you miss it?!

Oasis doing very well but it's a great song

their early b-sides are better than anything they did after album 2

12. Twenty One Pilots ~ Jumpsuit

Year charted: 2018

Official chart peak: #50

Sales chart peak: #28

Points scored in final: 129

Group position: 2nd

Points scored in group: 102

Twenty One Pilots released this as their comeback which unexpectedly (given their big previous era) missed the top 40, though that was not as surprising given it wasn't as commercial as their previous hits.

11. Vampire Weekend ~ This Life

Year charted: 2019

Official chart peak: #89

Sales chart peak: #31

Points scored in final: 129

Group position: 3rd

Points scored in group: 80

Vampire Weekend took a while but eventually came back with new material this year, this song being the only chart hit produced but as with most indie bands not having enough streaming to go anywhere near the top 40.

Surprised at those two being this high here! Really liked Jumpsuit but not a fan of This Life.

hahaha totally opposite, This Life is a 10/10, one of the songs of the year and best thing VW have ever done

while 21 Pilots are an over-rated band and this song does nothing to me

10. Christine and the Queens ~ Girlfriend (feat. Dâm-Funk)

Year charted: 2018

Official chart peak: #85

Sales chart peak: #20

Points scored in final: 132

Group position: 2nd

Points scored in group: 94

Released as the first single of her 2nd album, the brilliant 'Girlfriend' did well on sales thanks to good airplay and TV promo but very much struggled on streaming, leaving 'Titled' as a one-off fluke hit.

09. Rihanna ~ Kiss It Better

Year charted: 2016

Official chart peak: #46

Sales chart peak: #30

Points scored in final: 136

Group position: 1st

Points scored in group: 96

Released as the second single of 'Anti' (still her most recent album to date!!) this sadly was overshadowed by 'Work' which was still a massive hit at this point and quickly got replaced by third single 'Needed Me'.

I say NO to number 10 and number 9. :teresa:

08. Carly Rae Jepsen ~ Run Away With Me

Year charted: 2015

Official chart peak: #58

Sales chart peak: #30

Points scored in final: 138

Group position: 2nd

Points scored in group: 87

Carly Rae's follow-up to #3 hit 'I Really Like You' failed to be a proper hit but was one of the most loved songs of the decade on internet forums, surprisingly this wasn't even in contention for #1 here despite it regularly being a RotD contender.

07. Troye Sivan feat. Ariana Grande ~ Dance To This

Year charted: 2018

Official chart peak: #64

Sales chart peak: #40

Points scored in final: 141

Group position: 3rd

Points scored in group: 71

Even Ariana at her peak couldn't give Troye Sivan a hit with this surprisingly falling well short of the top 40, though in this contest it easily out-performs the rest of Ariana's entries.

Not a fan of any of the top ten so far actually.

06. The Avener & Phoebe Killdeer ~ Fade Out Lines

Year charted: 2015

Official chart peak: #60

Sales chart peak: #39

Points scored in final: 149

Group position: 1st

Points scored in group: 107

Another big European hit which failed to really take off here, this chill house track was the only chart entry for either artist. Surprised it's this well loved actually.

05. The 1975 ~ Somebody Else

Year charted: 2016

Official chart peak: #55

Sales chart peak: #29

Points scored in final: 173

Group position: 2nd

Points scored in group: 113

Starting the top 5 is one of The 1975's biggest selling singles but one that failed to reach the top 40 as it was released whilst 'The Sound' was still doing well.

Fade Out Lines coming at #6 - that's more like it! :cheer:
Fade Out Lines is probably my least fave dance track in the list.
