October 23, 20195 yr Author But the lyric oh my, hits straight to my heart Edited October 23, 20195 yr by myxxd
October 23, 20195 yr I have to say I am pleasantly surprised by the sound, I thought this will be a big dramatic Westlife ballad but the chorus sounds like it is more midtempo. I like it a lot.
October 23, 20195 yr So disappointed, legacy has gone for me. Wanted a big soaring ballad not another mid tempo fake sounding song, just incredible.
October 23, 20195 yr I think you are being a bit harsh Lomadz :D just because it isn't a souring ballad, it doesn't mean its fake and not Westlife. Its not like they didn't have midtempos before, Gravity had a lot of them. Better Man was more of a typical Westlife ballad and it didn't do much so maybe that is why they chose this song.
October 23, 20195 yr Author Welcome to 2019 and it's just a little part of the song so we cannot judge it fully right away. Most of the time there are difference when you compare teasers and the full song. in the next few hours the different teasers specific to the other three lads are expected.
October 23, 20195 yr So disappointed, legacy has gone for me. Wanted a big soaring ballad not another mid tempo fake sounding song, just incredible. Total agree with everything you said. It sounds underwhelming so far. All the singles have been hit and miss. Not sure about the Ed Sheeran combo
October 23, 20195 yr how did you notice this is a midtempo song? it sounds like a ballad to me, probably this teaser is from the bridge or the chorus...
October 23, 20195 yr Author The thing is the major record label won't surely back a single that doesn't sound up to date especially on streaming
October 23, 20195 yr It doesn't sound like the bridge to me, it sounds like either the 1st or 2nd verse before the chorus. You can tell towards the end of the teaser, the music "builds up" into the chorus/the drums kick in. Hard to explain it...
October 23, 20195 yr Judging from the teaser it doesn't sound like a powerful song. Guess it will still be decent but I was expecting a Flying Without Wings like masterpiece. Disappointed.
October 23, 20195 yr Judging from the teaser it doesn't sound like a powerful song. Guess it will still be decent but I was expecting a Flying Without Wings like masterpiece. Disappointed. Even if i agree with you, would you recognize the power of FWW by a 10 sec teaser? :P
October 23, 20195 yr FWW is just iconic! This feels like a new group, not Westlife...does that make sense?
October 23, 20195 yr Author Different record company, different point of view when it comes to music especially. They know everything about this before they signed up for the contract. Different times, different generation. They took a risk, it may or may not work at least they are and they will try to appeal to the new generation that using social media and streaming media has predominantly become their norm and culture. I am sure they can go back to Sony anytime after the contract if they think they won't see any progress.
October 23, 20195 yr Louis saying they are going to be ‘scarce’ and only do the right TV shows?! They should be throwing themselves at ANYONE that will have them - the last 2 singles flopped, the tour hasn’t sold out and ‘excitement’ from the media about their comeback is minimal. They are also choosing to release the album at the busiest time of year - they might not have a choice which shows they do and don’t want to do as there are much bigger acts releasing who can and will fill up all the available slots with ease - Louis and Westlife need to remember it’s 2019 not 2001.
October 23, 20195 yr Even if i agree with you, would you recognize the power of FWW by a 10 sec teaser? :P Fair enough, but I'm still going to lower my expectations.

Again with the tour not being sold out, you make it sound like they only sold 50% of it, when in reality it is 80% and they still have 10 months time to actually sell it. As for Louis saying this, I haven't seen that anywhere but even if he said it, it all depends what he actually meant by it. He does have a point, not every show helps and who says they would all even want them. They are not Harry Styles who can have a full week on James Corden for example (yes, I know it is an american show, I just used it as an example).
October 23, 20195 yr Still cannot wait for the album. Dont agree with this lack of success thing, poor decisions from the label but people are there for them still, album will be a big xmas seller...just hope its good.
October 23, 20195 yr Many of the Westlife fans are fans of physical releases and will get fully behind the album.
