In all honesty, I've not seen much about this other than Jade said we will more than likely get one before the end of the year.

I have seen whispers that they are gonna be on Ariana's curated Charlie's Angels soundtrack! Which is released last week of Nov...

What do you want from it?

I think all it takes is an undeniably great pop song. Woman Like Me was huge only a year ago and while both singles since then underperformed, neither were career-ending disasters.
I kinda hope they wait until next year to release the next single. The last thing they need is for it to get lost in the Christmas songs. But I'm not worried they won't get another hit.
I can't help but feel they've got their work cut out to be properly successful again. I'm rooting for them, but it's gonna be difficult.

I feel the same for them, im rooting for them also.

WLM was huge and that was only a year ago. As stated above, all they need is a great song.

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t worried too. I think they’re in a very similar position to Katy at the moment, in the sense that it if they release an undeniable bop like NRO then it’ll smash, but anything subpar will probably bomb ala ‘Small Talk’. It’s definitely a crucial junction in their career, and I’m not entirely confident in their ability to pick the right song after them claiming that ‘Bounce Back’ was their favourite single so far.

As for release date, early November is probably the least risky if they’re set on 2019. If last year is any indication, any later will just result in it being swallowed by the Xmas song influx. Tbh, I think it’s probably better to hold off till the New Year. January typically sees a dearth of new releases, so at least they won’t be overshadowed, and it gives the GP a chance to feel their absence a bit more. BB is still relatively recent and was hammered by radio.

Anything subpar will have a massive effect on them for this era, really hope they can comeback with a huge bang.

Leigh told fans yesterday that the new single is kinda 80s inspired. Interesting move

Ooft. Hopefully either 'Weird People' 80's party vibes or Weeknd/Dua new singles 80's inspired pop vibes plz.

More Dua than the former pls. I can see their logic in going for a more 80s inspired vibe, given that 'Black Magic' literally revived their career the last time, and I don't doubt they'd sell it well, but a retread of that sound would come across slightly... lame six albums deep. Honestly, something even approaching the quality of 'Don't Start Now'/'Blinded...' would be incredible.

I would like them to release something original rather than a ‘80s/‘90s throwback or ripping off other artist songs. They need to stop chasing trends tbh (I know they need/want a big hit but I want some originality too).
Album’s coming this semester as revealed in this brazilian interview. Also, my friend who works at the festival’s producer told me they were going to record a video here (not anymore because of Perrie’s absence).

Summer release for the album would be good for them i think. Any idea of what the video was??

I think it might’ve been for the lead, as external and internal filmings had been scheduled.

All filming for the video to the first single from album 6 has been scrapped for the 2nd time, due to Coronavirus!

If only Perrie was able to make it to Brazil :snif:
