British press reviews:

5/5 - NME

‘Future Nostalgia’ victory lap confirms her place as a pop colossus

Future Nostalgia’ cemented the fact that she had the most enviable arsenal of club-pop around; tonight’s tour proved she has also the sheer star power to take things to an even greater stratosphere.

4/5 - The Guardian

The best song catalogue in British pop today

Seamlessly moving through hits with a never-dipping energy, the singer shows why she is in a class above her peers. Dua Lipa has a better songs than any of her peers.

4/5 - The Telegraph

Dua Lipa stuns as usual – if only we could get to know the woman behind the sparkle

The star wowed with her slick production and spectacular choreography. But a little more personality would have given this show heart.

The tour's also giving her albums a boost on the charts looking at the midweeks today :cheer:

20 (+8) Future Nostalgia

30 (+11) Dua Lipa

I do agree that it would be nice for her personality to come through a little more, that would be only criticism of the show last night.

Otherwise it was great, I loved it and it was worth the wait!

She does concentrate heavy on performance delivery and more crowd interaction would be good when touring.

I went to the Newcastle show! I didn’t take any videos  but the show was such a feel good, escape from all the s*** what’s happening kind of show! I loved it. She sounds pretty much exactly as she does on record but her stage presence has really come on now and she’s slowly showing off her personality more between songs too. It was like bop after bop.

Don’t Start Now was the ultimate closer but the whole set was pretty much spot on and the crowd went crazy for pretty much every song which for someone just two albums in you can already tell she’s a force. The only snag and it’s not even a snag but I’d have placed Future Nostalgia the song as the intro rather than as part of the encore but that’s just a minor thing. A show that was very much worth the wait though my OG date for this was June 2020!

EDIT: An observation what come to me was just how alive and loving it the crowd were. Like obviously it’s a live show and we’ve lived in lockdown and now the worlds (slightly) normal again but that really added to the overall experience. The crowd was just in such a good mood and pretty much the whole show everyone was stood up not just around me as well as we seen various shots of the crowd on screens as the show was on. It was just a feel good night in general but I’ve been to shows in the past where the shows been amazing but the people around me have just been a bit not miserable but not really into the show but this was a show everyone was expressing themselves  (and around me too they were couples, kids with parents, young friends etc like a real mix).

Yay I'm so happy you had a good time! The clips I've seen on Twitter all look amazing. She looks like a goddess night after night.

[/late] but I was living for the dancey section with 'One Kiss', 'Electricity' and 'Hallucinate' back to back, none of those are individually among my favourite songs by her but they sounded great live :cheeseblock:

'We're Good' still sucks but her bringing out the giant lobster made it worth it xx

I had the best night everrrr at opening night in Manchester! The difference between that show and the first time I saw her at Alexandra Palace in 2018.. just wow.

Going again to The O2 next Monday, can’t wait!

I can only imagine how amazing it was. Hope the O2 show is just as great!!

I went last night and had such an brilliant time. I was a bit worried that the crowd wasn't going to be great as it was absolutely dead during Griff's set but as soon as Dua came on it was insane.

You can really tell how much effort has went into making it the best show it could be and making it well worth the 2 year wait!

Dua Lipa's experience is shining through on this tour.

Her craft is honed which always takes time in the industry.

She was utterly fab!

For someone who's a relative newcomer to put on a show like that, especially for their first major tour is seriously impressive. She really has came such a long way in every sense.

I had a relatively good standing position, and she was floating above me in a basket for 'Levitating'

Some recent reviews:

4/5 - Evening Standard

It was intimidatingly slick but this show proved nothing compares to hearing these songs in person, en masse. As anyone who witnessed last night’s communal outpouring of joy will attest, it was an experience absolutely worth the wait.
4/5 - The Independent

Triumphant pop spectacle proves she can dance, actually. Acting as a reminder of the sheer number of bangers to her name, the ‘Future Nostalgia’ tour spins through bop after bop.

The tour has now started in mainland Europe! Antwerp, Belgium show was last night :cheer:
