I read a spoiler about Wednesday's veto result so I'll put all my thoughts in tags lol.

 

 

I'm nearly done with this season! *continues to watch until the finale* It is too predictable and easy to just target two players who last played the game together 14 years ago! Janelle made a good point to Tyler: she's a massive target, surely it makes sense to keep her in. Tyler could have easily pitched to his alliance that neither of them are comp beasts anymore (Kaysar was never one tbf lol) and no one in the house would build an alliance with them while he himself secretly cuts a deal with them both. I accidentally read that Cody wins the POV and keeps the noms the same which ***** me off because Janelle is clearly going to be the week 3 exit which is way too premature! It will be nice to see Kaysar play without Janelle for once but I can't help but feel cheated. It's like when Neda targeted Gary in BBCAN5. :lol: I really hope there is a battle-back and Janelle returns for a fifth time. She makes every season she's in. I really PRAY she reads Nicole to utter filth this week if it is indeed her last. Even if it isn't it would be deserved. :cool:

Now that the Safety Suite is over, we're probably due the next twist. Hopefully we can see the Safety Suite used as a little quarantine battle back room!

Part of me is 0.000001% away from turning this season off but then I'm ALWAYS so naive with Big Brother and think "what if Grodner fixes it and there's another twist" :lol: No matter how many times you get burned, and have to watch the boring alliance you hate steamroll, you come in thinking this time there's that 0.01% chance it will be different.

 

I've seen thee's talk on live feed of old school being "boring" and that's why they're targeting the old players?! I'm sorry how is a genuinely divided house like BB6 where there's a power tussle every week, never knowing who would emerge on top "boring", yet week 1 HOH setting the scene for a majority alliance to steamroll isn't? It says it all that we're hoping and praying for a game-breaking twist that pushes the boundaries of acceptability just for the season to be watchable for a week or two more, usually I hate twists that interfere with the game but if it's that or watch an alliance of people I barely like steamroll, I'll take it. Even if there is though, it would only buy Jaysar another week. I definitely think it will be that the next few evictees will go into a Battle Back and that will be the next phase of that twist.

 

Also, David is also one of the worst players ever, it'd be hard to beat Jacob BB9 or Devin BB16 but lord. The events of today I've seen.... :rofl:

In terms of how good the cast was on paper and the excitement I had, I feel like this won't be much better than 19 or 21 when the dust settles for me :( Of course we have time, but the more that happens with this season, the less hope I have. Even if there's a Battle Back and one of Jaysar wins, they'll most likely be right out again in a revolving door week.

 

Imagine if we could have had Rachel and Britney instead of Ratcole and Dani (the most disappointing return EVER)? Or Dan and Derrick (as much as I think he's a boring winner) instead of Memphis and Cody? David and Kevin have been absolute wastes as well, Keesha as much as I love her really didn't need to be back and Nicole Antony f***ed any good will she had.

we don't want Derrick's name anywhere near BB again, he's the one who caused this mess by setting up all the pre-game alliances!

 

tbh i'm really gonna need to start watching some old-school BBs. i need some proper gameplay in my life, not this gigantic alliance vote with the house/HoH bullshit

True :lol: I feel like BB16 ushered in a new "era" where for some reason every time it just feels like alliances made up of the same kind of people run the game every single time, and the casting chooses the same kind of people to keep it the same. And I don't know why, clearly the fans want players like Janelle, not boring alliances of pretty white people every damn time. They seemed to be trying with the racial bias training, yet here Dani is absolutely FOAMING at the mouth to get rid of all the POC who aren't even really a threat to her game. Plus her saying Ian is using his autism as a "strategy" :mellow:

 

I'd recommend BB6 if you've not seen it but also 14 or 10! 14 is my absolute fave ever but I'm re-watching 6 because of Janelle and it is not far behind! 14 has probably four of my top 5 ever playing (Janelle, Britney, Dan and Ian), and it's just so so good all the way through.

Yeah, it definitely all stems from BB16!

 

I think, when I get the chance, I’ll go with BB6 as I hear loads of good things about it and of course you have Janelle in her true form! I’ve tried starting BB14 twice now oops, the first when it came out and the whole returning players put me off as I’d never experienced the format before and then a couple of years ago but I forgot all about it!!

I'd go 6 for Janelle, 10 for Dan and then 14, I watched 14 after those so it probably felt better when I knew the players a bit! Watching BB6 is making me sad though, seeing what the game can be with few twists and just a load of great players and personalities, and what it is now :(

Do you know what other "trend" I despise in this era? Playing the game for other people, ie the entirety of BB19 but this week there's been a lot of "we kinda want to keep her but Nicole wants Janelle gone"... Right? She's already won, play your own game! I get that you have to be social and keep people happy but I feel like a lot of the time people don't really play to win, they play for jury to get so far in an easy alliance by pleasing other people and letting them jump ahead. It's so sad that making big moves has become a bad thing, I understand that it's a risk but truly great players do it, own it and get through it. Look at Janelle bossing BB7's All Stars, look at Will's entire BB2 game, look at Dan's funeral in BB14. Their backs are against the wall but they go for it and get through it anyway.

 

I think Tyler is one of the few players in the past few years who will make big moves and own it, but whilst he kinda had to (in a way), I don't think targetting Janelle and Kaysar who's names are in everyone's mouths, is really a "big move".

 

Dani is playing a good game tbh but I just think she is coming across a vile person in a lot of what she's saying so I can't respect her.

I'm only really here for Kaysar, Bayleigh perhaps. I feel like Da'vonne would waste her HOH on like David or something, as a person she is brilliant but she is just not good at this game other than being astute idc what anyone says :lol: Bayleigh I'm unsure on, but I feel like she would go for it and target maybe Nicole or Ian. I actually wouldn't mind Enzo HOH lowkey as it seems that he is getting fed up of Dani and Nicole but I don't think he would take them out yet so maybe not just now. Even if there is a Battle Back I'm exhausted at the thought of 4 more weeks of this just to get one more of Janelle potentially :lol:

 

I don't think Kaysar will be a target without Janelle, I feel like the ruling alliance will take out Bayleigh or Da'vonne next, possibly David which there is NO point to doing as he is a threat to precisely nobody with his god-awful mess of a game.

See that showed perfectly you don't need flashy twists, literally all that's needed in Big Brother is to cast it well and leave it be! Then again, without Safety Suite we could have lost Janelle week 1 :lol: It's not so much the twists, but the casting, but BB10 just shows that if you cast right, you don't need anything else. If you cast wrong, no matter what you do, the season will suck and that's been proven time and again in the past few years even with twists factored in to "spice" things up :drama:

I love that Julie was as excited to interview Janelle as I would be.

I've purposely avoided reading any new posts on here until I get around to watching the veto and eviction episodes but I'm half putting off watching them. I just know Janelle is gonna go. :( Such a waste of a true BB icon whose wisdom is second to none when it comes to clocking who is deceiving her, who is working together etc. Then you have the likes of Da'Vonne who is so clueless as to her position in the house and then the GOD AWFUL Nicole and white friends alliance. I'm probably being petty af #ika but this season could have been so much more. I think the pre-season gaming is what actually ****s me off the most. :drama: Anyway I shall watch when I can bear to. :lol:
