PSA: Watermelon Sugar by Harry Styles is about to hit the top spot on the US Billboard Hot 100!!!

 

This will be Harry's first single to hit the summit after his debut solo-single, Sign of the Times, debuted and peaked at number four in 2017. Furthermore, Harry will have achieved this feat with a post-album single (the fourth from his sophomore album Fine Line), something that rarely happens in today's music landscape.

 

Although this has yet to be officially confirmed- we will find out definitely tomorrow- esteemed sources have predicted Watermelon Sugar will more than likely be at the top spot.

Definitely hoping he can get his first number one (solo or with 1D)!

 

According to the source- which has more often than not predicted the chart correctly- he seems to have a 12 point lead, so I think he should manage it!!

Side note: I'm glad Taylor is looking to stay in the top-ten albeit at the skin of her teeth!

 

Less relevant but Exile is my new favourite from Folklore with August, Seven, Mirrorball, Peace and Betty not far behind.

Not to discredit the fourth single chatter... but it is only really the second single from the era in the US but nonetheless its a post-album single thats been available since November and there it is at #1 with barely any promo and no quick feature remixes. Congrats Harry!

I'm glad it's a different number one. A lot of number ones recently have been very samey so I'm glad this is getting a shot, especially considering it was originally released in November last year.

I think maybe just very unexpected? And how it basically came out of nowhere over the past week to ride to the top

I hope it doesn't experience a sharp drop from Number 1.

That’s fabulous well done Harry! This era has surpassed all my expectations I thought Harry would have a sharp downturn after seeing Zayn and Liam’s releases. Really pleased for Harry 😊

Its holding steady in a good few countries, this could end up his most successful single.

8 months on from its initial release and still riding high in many charts is a huge Harry success.
