I might as well use this double post to now post the official video

Cute but unremarkable. A bit like the song itself.

Internal politics. Told you RCA UK is no good because it is under Sony and affiliated to Simon. That happened to Boyzone before. Of course they will make it look like they are backing up Little Mix because of the group's avid followers. Disappointed with video by the way, I find it messy. I've been playing this single on repeat for quite some time now

I really don't think we can use a Christmas song as any indication of the label's commitment. They were pretty relentless with the 'Bounce Back' campaign despite there being literally 0 appetite for the single from the public. Mabel's new track is similarly struggling to pick up any playlist support.

Yeah. It's all the streaming playlists rn. How have none of the new Christmas songs (bar Liam Payne) managed to get a good/decent position on the Christmas playlists? I'm so disappointed with the services. It's incredibly frustrating.
Yeah it's a shame it won't have a chance. There is just no possibility of it doing well without good playlist positioning. Might have to wait till next year for it to be added as they don't seem to update often.
What frustrates me is that they were at Heart FM this morning, and since then they have played the song once? I was under the impression that if an artist visits a particular radio station, that station would support their music? If not then why bother visiting if they are not going to support?

Promo for this and the tour tomorrow on Radio 2 during Steve Wright’s show

^ With the above, Heart regularly have a musical guest for Breakfast these days and play their current single. I’m yet to see them follow it up with a playlisting regularly. They’ve done it once with Taylor Swift for You Need To Calm Down but it was several weeks after her appearance and then only kept it on rotation for 3 weeks.

it's not only Liam Payne in the Xmas playlists, new Alessia Cara, new Jonas Brothers also there in most playlists, Christmas Hits for sure

I actually think L Mix/Mabel released too late, those playlists seem to be done once and never changed again

It's so weird to think they were "released too late" when it literally takes seconds to add a song to playlist lmao. It's annoying af.
Added to 'Christmas Pop' with over 1 million followers. Finally getting adds.

Aren't these US playlists? I can't even find 'Christmas Pop' in the Holidays genre unless I actively search for it. Would also explain why the Jonas Brothers/Alessia Cara are featured on certain playlists but not Mabel/LM.

Good news regardless, but I can't see it having a massive impact on the UK charts.

No promo (line up for TOTP Christmas got announced. Mabel is on - not that it particularly matters at that time anyway). No playlisting. Some airplay.

I'm pissed tbh.

Given the investment on the video etc I see no reason for stress considering it’s obvious they’re not even fussed about it... I think there are more interesting things coming along so whatever.

I think it's pretty obvious that the minute it didn't take off they just dropped it. I expect no further promo for this or for them to even mention it again unless something weird happens and it somehow takes off at the last minute.

Yeah, I can't imagine it'll incur much (if any) loss for the label given the low-budget MV and the fact that Leigh wrote it. I still think it's a cute song and it would've been nice to see it smash, but I can't say I'm that upset it hasn't.

(That being said, they reeeally need to pull something out of the bag for their next single. Three consecutive flop/underperforming songs doesn't bode well).

Now that OIBM has been playlisted by Capital, I hope this means they'll be on board properly for their new era!
Oh wow I didn’t know Leigh had written this! Hopefully it charts because that would be an incredible accomplishment

Has this charted? Seems a huge flop at the minute which is annoying as I like it.

I've heard it quite a lot on the radio out and about which is good, it may take a few years to properly take off!?
