'Lessons' and 'Superheroes' have both hit new peaks today (#8 and #30 respectively, 'Lessons' only a few thousand away from overtaking 'Audacity' at #6), other Stormzy tracks also all climbing as one would expect. Seems like the Tracy Beaker sample very much is helping the latter outpace its late placing on the album tracklist, although it's likely to still be locked out of the chart at least for now, especially as 'Vossi Bop' and 'Crown' may both be returning to SCR next week. 'Do Better' remains as low as #55 despite now having a music video, although it has (just) overtaken 'Handsome' in today's update so moved up from 3rd lowest to 4th lowest of his songs.

 

Camila Cabello/DaBaby also at a new peak of #58, hanging around pretty well so may deliver her an actual hit in the new year?

 

Sidemen's cringefest debuts at #72. Doing what LadBaby could never do with their own terrible Christmas novelty song. And one other top 200 new entry, Roddy Ricch's 'The Box' at #168, could easily become Roddy's biggest hit I think as it's doing very well in the US.

Must check out this Sidemen song as I've only ever heard of it from seeing it on iTunes and hearing Bre complain bout it 🙈

Just noticed 'Blinding Lights' overtaking 'Heartless' now, clearly looking like it'll be the bigger hit in the long run (although not sure either are going to have that much longevity unfortunately much like the singles from his last EP).

The Weeknd? He's still up there, not easy to have a hit these days when everybody is more interested in playing Shakin Stevens and Mariah

but Heartless has debuted at #1 in the US, so he still has it I reckon

Blinding Lights looking set to be big for him in 2020 then, I like to see it.

The airplay is already very good too, #20 today according to Kworb, above Dance Monkey for instance.

KAYTRANADA not a name I ever expected to see in the Spotify top 200... I've not really been that impressed by most of the songs I've heard from his new album unfortunately although I haven't heard this one yet.

 

(the state of the Spotify charts at the moment that I immediately assumed this is charting because it's blowing up on TikTok :P but that doesn't seem to be the case actually!)
