I suspect that Bottas is biding his time until the pit stop but it's great to see Russell leading a race

I thought that it was Leclerc that was to blame for the lap one incident, he seemed to just assume that Perez would just leave the door open for him to pass!

Wow at Russell then, extending his lead from 3 to over 8 during the stops... I was expecting Bottas to suddenly fly but he had nothing in response. Go George!

I can't remember the last time I was willing a driver on so much

Perez showing yet AGAIN why it's ridiculous that he doesn't have a seat for next year yet

A mess-up of a pit stop for Bottas, it's great listening to the Grand Prix.

Oh no, mixed tyres for Russell.

Shades of Irvine Nurburgring 1999 there from Mercedes, what a cock-up. And now Perez leads the Grand Prix.

Yeah, seeing the replays, Charles is a too fast but I think Perez should have been wiser too.

In addition, when Mercedes screw up they really do go for it

I hope we don't get a Leclerc Bahrain 2019, Trulli Austria 1997.

Me and my big mouth. :(

He's done so well today, if he gets in the points it's not even safe as the stewards are investigating his tyre situation

Still happy for Perez though

Impressed with Russell but happier to see Perez win.

That was one of the more entertaining races this year.

So nice to see all the Racing Point celebrations

Yeah this was def one of the more entertaining races of the year. Felt more like watching Indycar than it did F1. It just went to highlight further how much better F1 could be if the cars were much closer together performance wise.

Other conclusions, -

Bottas is both terribly unlucky and pretty ordinary with it. Which isn't exactly news but is now basically official.

Russell was unlucky and did very well. That he came into an unfamiliar team, in an ill-fitting car and thoroughly trounced Bottas suggests 2 things. He's a star for the future and that Hamilton really hasn't had any kind of quality competition for a teammate since Button and Alonso.

Perez needs to be in that Red Bull
