January 25, 20206 yr Four fairly high entries for Lime Cordiale in the end too then, shame I didn't really enjoy any of them
January 25, 20206 yr So two of the three favourites for the win at the start have gone out at #4 and #5... Could there be a shock winner?
January 25, 20206 yr Kinda glad Denzel didn’t win though after how disappointed he sounded when one of his songs was in the 40s
January 25, 20206 yr Kinda glad Denzel didn’t win though after how disappointed he sounded when one of his songs was in the 40s  That was an awkward interview moment!
January 25, 20206 yr Wow! So shocked at how high Flume is! Really really really happy at that, Rushing Back #2 despite not being much of a hit AND Billie Eilish #1 (99% positive unless it’s somehow out of the top 100) with Bad Guy!!!! Such a shocking reveal tbh I expected all these songs in the Top 10 but this order is WILD
January 25, 20206 yr That really is a good top two, Rushing Back defying the odds to finish at #2! And wow, that's a hugely successful year for Billie Eilish here, she has five entries in the Hottest 100 which is more than any other artist, and she has got the number one for good measure! A fantastic winner too, definitely my favourite song in the top ten!!
January 25, 20206 yr As my only vote in the top 100 I was really rooting for Denzel but Billie's an awesome winner. Hope to hear the rest of my votes on Monday :P
January 25, 20206 yr I guess cases like that are exactly why they do the 101-200 section! I didn't expect to stay around for the entire show all night but I did anyway, mostly good stuff in it and a great winner so it was worth it! I'm gonna try and get some sleep now after being up for the last 24 hours
January 25, 20206 yr Currently listening to a playlist of the Top 10s of every year from 2010-2019 to prepare for Hottest 100 of the Decade! I reckon it’s gonna be very hard to predict even the Top 20 tbh. The likes of Gotye, Daft Punk, Lorde, Angus & Julia Stone, Matt Corby, Flume, The Black Keys, M83, Lana Del Rey, 360, Hilltop Hoods, Of Monsters and Men, Mumford & Sons, Chet Faked, Peking Duk, London Grammar, Kendrick Lamar, Tame Impala, Amy Shark, Childish Gambino, Illy, Ocean Alley, Travis Scott, Billie Eilish, Foster The People, Milky Chance, Muse, La Roux, and Arctic Monkeys feel like major highlights from the Top 10 plus obviously heaps more, there’s gonna be some bangers coming fairly low down just because of how many amazing songs are gonna come up. My rough prediction for Top 10: Somebody That I Used To Know, Never Be Like You, Get Lucky, Royals, The Less I Know The Better/Riptide I’d also love a good showing for Stolen Dance, Big Jet Plane, Talk Is Cheap, High, Chandelier, and Brother
January 25, 20206 yr Yeah, to be honest I've been listening annually since 2006 and it's really becoming clear that the sheer volume of noteworthy music out is making it harder than ever to crack the list (especially if you're gunning for the precious few non-Australian slots :P), so you can get down to the top 200 now and still feel like there are some big omissions.
