This collaboration firstly peaked at no.10 and dropped down a few places for the next two weeks. Its fortunes changed when its video was played on a few TV programmes. It spent six weeks at no.1 in the US.

Using speech synthesizers and helped by its raunchy video, this became a hit in the summer of 2003. Benny Benassi went on to win a Grammy Award for Best Remixed Recording in 2008 for his remix of Public Enemy's 'Bring The Noise'.

Originally recorded by its writer Kirsty MacColl in 1979,this cover version was the second of three top 10 singles in 1983 for comedienne Tracey Ullman. Paul McCartney has a cameo in the video.

Don't Stop clearly didn't deserve last place behind some oldies I never heard before. :drama:

How do you know if you've never heard them? :drama:

Although I'm the opposite, I don't think I've ever heard Don't Stop!

Stevie Wonder wrote this song as a tribute to Duke Ellington who died in 1974 and other musicians who had inspired him. It was the second of four no.2 singles for Stevie before he finally had a no.1 with 'Ebony And Ivory'.

Originally reaching no.44 in 1993,this was a bigger hit after being re-issued the following year. Let Loose went on to have six more top 40 singles before splitting up in 1996. They reformed in 2008.

How do you know if you've never heard them? :drama:

Well, I've heard Moody Blues and Tracey Ullman songs now and I found both vile.

Absolutely loved 'Crazy For You' back in the day, almost as much as the follow up 'Seventeen'. Forgotten pop classics!

Despite Simply Red having a top 20 hit under their belt, this song only reached no.51 when it was first released in 1985. It was re-issued a year later. Mick Hucknall had written the song when he was 17.

I think this is the right version as the 1992 single was only released on 12 inch,CD and cassette. The shorter versions on youtube are more likely to be the 1997 re-mix which got to no.31. SL stands for Slipmatt and Lime.
