I wonder if Lauren being more famous outside the show meant they were more worried of killing her off. It’s a weird one I mean they both could’ve left alive and it would’ve been fine but to kill one and it be the one with more stories was a bit blah.

 

The return could be anyone though! I think we’ll perhaps figure it out as it gets nearer the time. Janine would be my dream but only if it’s done right. Bianca seems possible but I took it to mean whoevers coming back is staying for at least a few months and I don’t think Bianca would ever do more than like a small number of episodes again. What about the carter kids too like Lee or Nancy. The actress who played Nancy isn’t in Casualty anymore.

Janine is the one we want but she’s very unlikely. The way I see it, the most likely characters are

 

Lauren Branning

Jane Beale

Lee Carter

Alfie Moon

Dean Wicks

Keanu Taylor

 

More outside the box guesses would be Chelsea Fox, Carly Wicks or Ryan Malloy.

I didn’t know people who aren’t huge Zainab fans existed tbh. Truly wonderful character.

 

I can’t see it being her ever again tho, visiting her ex husband’s extended family is a stretch especially when they get very little screen time as it is.

Zainabs return would only work if Masood or one of the children were still on the show there’s not much need for her to return.

 

An outside guess could be Grant Mitchell having a brief return but I couldn’t see Ross Kemp doing anything longterm. Or maybe they’ve gotten a proper story for what will be Dots final arc and she’s coming back to die on screen.

During a pandemic, I can’t see them risking bringing 93 year old June Brown back on to the set. I think Dot is pretty much done now, we’ll hear little things about her in Ireland until June dies and then they’ll have a big on screen funeral for Dot, possibly with returning characters. It’ll be more Frank Butcher than Peggy Mitchell.

Dotty tells Sharon about Ian’s involvement in Dennis’ death next week. I can’t help but feel Ian will tak his way out of it but we’ll see.

I am looking forward to its imminent return.

I hope for an energetic and fresh return.

Gray has continued to work on Whitney's case whilst being furloughed

Isaac has been living alone whilst Denise moved in with Jack

Kathy started an online Zumba class (iconic *.*)

Kheerat has fallen in love with Chantelle

Kush has not come clean to Kat about how he struggled whilst she was gone

Jags broke lockdown several times to be with Habiba

Mick and Linda have moved into 29B (formerly Kush's flat)

Linda was working at the laundrette

Bailey left to stay with her aunt

Phil has been sorting divorce proceedings between him and Sharon

Sheree and Patrick return from Trinidad and Patrick was hospitalised with coronavirus; they are currently staying with Anthony

Tiff and Keegan have moved into one of Jack's flats and restarted their sandwich making business

Suki now owns the Minute Mart and Honey has been re-employed

Sharon's son is now called Albie

Bobby is setting up a charity in Lucy's memory

They really have no idea what to do with Keegan and Tiff do they? :lol:

 

It'll be so weird seeing Mick and Linda living elsewhere :o
