I was thinking it's possible he could get #1 in his second week by default but his streaming numbers have died off pretty quickly (not to the same extent as they have in the UK but still), I would expect NAV and Kehlani to both pull decent first weeks indeed (NAV got #1 with his last album and this new album's lead single was his highest charting song to date by far, though interestingly Kehlani seems to be doing a fair bit better than him on US Apple Music so far).

Watch the next #1 just be another random country artist buoyed by ticket bundles though  (aside: very bold of artists to still be pushing forward with concert ticket bundles at this current time).

Well this doesn't say that Drake will be #1 but kinda hints that way

"NAV, Kehlani and Lil Durk will earn the top debuts next week as Drake's Dark Lane Demo Tapes goes into its second week."

NAV (XO/Republic) 70-75k total activity, 11-13k albums

Kehlani (TSNMI/Atlantic) 60-65k, 5-7k

Lil Durk (Alamo/Geffen/Interscope) 45-50k, 1-2k

NAV apparently releasing a deluxe of his album tomorrow (yes, already) which should push his numbers up more.

And in another plot twist Bad Bunny has released a surprise album just now. Missed a couple of days of sales but his previous album was pretty huge.

I think it looks like NAV's deluxe version is similar to Uzi's in that it's essentially an entire second album but counted as a deluxe for chart purposes

(sorry this is getting a little off topic but it's not like NAV and Bad Bunny are particularly relevant enough to BuzzJack to carry their own threads anyway xx)

What is it with these deluxe editions coming out a week or 2 after the actual release, I hope it doesn't become a new trend I'd rather wait a few months for new songs

it seems to me that some US rappers are just using tactics like this to artificially boost their chart positions/sales.

see also Travis Scott bundling his way to the Hot 100 #1 on multiple occasions.

Billboard confirmed now that Kenny Chesney did indeed get the #1 (and actually by a bigger margin than HDD's figures).

don't suppose he has any chance of beating Nav next week then? shame for him to lose his streak because of Kenny's bundling.

Never expected Drake to have a new release that missed Billboard #1 anytime soon :o Justice for beating Dangerous Woman to #1 with Views to be honest.

In other news, Lil Baby was apparently originally meant to have a verse on Toosie Slide but never sent it to Drake in time.

What is with people not caring enough to finish verses for big Drake singles? First Trippie Redd on 'God's Plan' and now this...

I can't really see how Lil Baby would have made sense on 'Toosie Slide' though so no complaints lol

Drake has tied with Madonna for most Billboard top 10 singles (38) this week with Pain 1993 debuting at #7.

Drake extends his lead over Glee with now 222 chart entries - with all the songs from this project making the chart.

04 Toosie Slide

07 Pain 1993

14 Chicago Freestyle

19 D4L

25 Not You Too

27 Desires

30 Time Flies

32 Deep Pockets

34 Demons

35 When To Say When

the others are yet to be revealed and presumably aren't top 40.

'From Florida With Love' is #45, 'Losses' #51 and 'War' #52. Kind of cool to see Playboi Carti getting a top 10 hit out of this but a shame it's with one of the worst songs on the mixtape / one of the worst verses I have heard from him

Drake would already have the sole record for most top 10 hits ahead of Madonna now if not for being uncredited on 'SICKO MODE' - nonetheless, he should definitely overtake her this year since he already announced a full album coming in the summer.
