From 2000,Sonique's follow-up to her no.1 single 'It Feels So Good'. She would go on to have just one more top 10 hit.

From the same year, this was Kylie's seventh single. She kept up her record of reaching the top 2 with each release.

Shame Sonique didn't go on to more success, her 3 hits 'It Feels So Good', 'Sky' & 'I Put A Spell On You' were all amazing & her album 'Hear My Cry' was pretty decent also 'Move Closer' would have made a perfect 4th single (in a edited down form), it could have easily given her another top 10 hit.

She had a massive year 2000 & thought she would go on to build a successful career, but then she disappeared for 3 years which totally killed all her momentum, dunno why or what took her so long to come back. Her 2003 comeback single 'Can't Make Up My Mind' which did give her a final top 20 hit, was ok (and she was lucky to get that) was simply nowhere near as strong or memorable as her previous singles & just fell through the cracks & never heard from again.

Which is such a waste as there was so much potential & if she struck while the iron was still hot, then maybe things may have turned out different.
^didn't sonique disappear cos she got cancer?

both the Sonique and Phil Collins songs are classics

but that Kylie song my gosh love Kylie bless her but that has to be one of the worst #2s ever

wish SAW had given Kylie better songs, they knew she was popular and anything would do

35. Kylie Minogue - Wouldn't Change A Thing 138 pts

Noooooo! Two of my all times faves out :(

Sonique deserved so much more success, she had great songs and a very distinctive voice. 'Can't Make Up My Mind' and 'Alive' from the follow-up era were also both really good.

'Wouldn't Change A Thing' is one of those songs which instantly takes my back to my childhood, classic SAW, I can't understand why people don't rate it highly amongst her singles.

Corona's 'The Rhythm Of The Night' has qualified for the final but this interpolation of it (combined with Snap!'s 'Rhythm Is A Dancer') has not made it. It sold about 80200 copies in its first week, just 660 behind Lily Allen's song.

Bastille song is suberb (one hit wonder for me), Sonique is cool as Phil Collins classic is. Shame all miss out

This is still the only top 40 single for the Plain White T's. Group member Tom Higgenson was inspired to write the song after meeting Delilah DeCrescenzo, the American steeplechase and cross country runner.

Written during the group's tour of the USSR at the height of perestroika, this now sits at number 15 on the list of best selling singles worldwide and it's the biggest seller by a German act. In the UK,it's the group's only top 20 single.

From 1975,the instrumental part of this song was based around the Troika section of Sergei Prokofiev's Lieutenant Kije Suite from 1934. Greg Lake is a one hit wonder on his own and also as part of Emerson,Lake & Palmer whose only hit,'Fanfare For The Common Man',also reached number 2.

With lyrics written by Cathy Dennis, this is an answer song to 'Cry Me A River' which is also in this semi-final. Justin Timberlake's song is believed to be aimed at Britney Spears but when 'Sweet Dreams My LA Ex' was offered to Britney, she turned it down so it ended up as Rachel Stevens' debut single.

Happy and Sweet Dreams My LA Ex were worthy qualifiers! I don't think Happy has ever been a Buzzjack fave though. SDMLAE was a triumphant debut for Rachel - it hasn't aged too badly.
