'Supalonely' from New Zealand artist Stella Bennett "BENEE", featuring US artist Gus Dapperton (a name I've heard quite a bit about in the indie pop scene) has started to climb the streaming charts thanks to TikTok, and it's really good!

 

It's from her second EP 'Stella & Steve', which I'm defo going to check out at some point. Hopefully this can be a big hit!

 

Up to #28 already on Spotify! and also #53 on Apple Music.

 

Hopefully it should be able to go top 40 officially this week.

Enters the chart at #39 today!

This is actually surprisingly good! V funky ~ can see it being one that gets stuck in my head all the time (especially the 'I've been lonely, mm, ah' line). Guess I am now a 12 year old by the logic of Bjork's now deleted post in here B-)

 

2 things though. 1) what is with these Australasian female solo artists singing in obviously fake accents? (though this one is nowhere near as grating as Tones And I) and 2) not keen on the Gus Dapperton part, feels pretty pointless especially being such a small part of the song.
