Album sales are so low she will def have a decent peak . Especially with the trend of the bundles!!

She seems to want to release quite a few singles before the album too.

It's whether she can fund the bundles in the way major record companies can... I hope so it will help her tremendously.

Have radio 2 even playlisted Who I Am, it is a shame she wasted the SW19 good will on the abomination that was High heels.

Was it not C-Listed originally? I'm sure I saw that somewhere???

Wish she would kind of do a new deal with another major label. It would help her massively to get some extra exposure. No doubt Emma managed to have some radio support for both singles last year due to that influence...

The main issue continues to be lack of support on streaming platforms... Was this even on Spotify playlists at all?

I seem to recall seeing it made it's way onto 1 playlist somewhere???

Yeah I think she would benefit from a deal similar to what she had in Germany with a major label there to fund the release while she funds the recording etc, if Emma could get one I really don't see Melanie struggling with her past success and also her European success which none of the other girls have really compared with at all.

With Beautiful Intentions in Spain she did it very well. I remember watching on tv some adverts, interviews, performances... and hear the main singles on the radio (Cadena 100 / EuropaFM)

Then she never came back to national TVs or radio stations -_-

Maybe the time is now...

Wonder why she didn't continue I mean she had a few #1's in Spain...

Exactly, a #1 in Spain doesn't mean a lot, but at least she could have some promo appearing on charts.

When FDOML went to #1 for 2 weeks, everybody said "Melanie C has beat Madonna's Hung Up!"

It was amazing

I remember when she was saying on This Morning "I outsold Madonna in Europe"

A promotional trip to Spain was actually scheduled to take place in June 2007, but it was cancelled at the last minute due to the Return of the Spice Girls Tour announcement.

She is on the one show in the UK tonight .

She is on the One Show tonigt (7pm) and then on the James Corden show tomorrow (Saturday)

Good promo slots

And glad that Who I Am will be reaching 2million views soon on YouTube and is almost at 600,000 on Spotify. Her biggest hit so far in a long time!

It's what she deserves. Can't wait for the performances.

I know they are not important in the grand scheme but I really wish this could be reflected with a chart position too  I mean even something like #70 would be amazing

Agree, but I honestly think they are playing the long game. By raising her profile as a solo artists into more mainstream slots like this, hopefully one day her singles will also be more visible instantly to the larger public.

But honestly, I wouldnt worry about chart positions for singles. Just as long as the song has radio and playlist support, it should be fine. The main thing is album sales and touring which she cant do right now...

Yeah I agree that is clearly the intention to raise her profile and try make her album sales and tours bigger... fingers crossed all the work pay off.

When was the last time the 20+ year old acts like her made it in the single chart though? Like top 5-10 something like that.

The thing is streaming is enormous so really those numbers while nice for Melanie C compared to her recent releases are still incredibly small.

To put it in perspective Wannabe is doing 220k+ youtube views a day. So basically in 1 week does what Who I Am has done so far in views. That isn't meant to take anything away from Mel (I mean Wannabe is her song too) but gives you some idea how many views even old videos like Wannabe can be doing daily.

She’s so much more popular than Emma isn’t she Sammy ? Lmao
