I bought a few days ago True Romance (Slater/Arquette) and the Japanese Battle Royale. Both really good films.
Watched V for Vendetta today! rli gd film!

Got given Night Of The Living Dead (original)

this is free with the sun on saturday i think. gangster no 1 on friday.

I recently did one of these 5 for £30 offers from Virgin, this is what I bought...

"Salem's Lot" (2004 version) - Not really as scary as the original, but what it did do was to finally give Barlow, the Vampire Lord a voice (and a pretty good one too from Rutger Hauer...), Rob Lowe was a more than adequate replacement for David Soul, you actually had a better sense of the town itself. Bad things - Donald Sutherland was no kind of replacement for James Mason, the ending was a tad silly....

Derailed - A not really bad thriller with a Hitchcock edge to it... But if you know the signs you can kinda figure out the 'twist' in the plot well before it's actually revealed... Vincent Cassell and Clive Owen are both excellent (especially Cassel as a seriously slimy blackmailer), Jennifer Aniston tries to shake off the 'Friends' tag, but only has limited success...

Nightwatch (Nochnoj Dozor) - Absolutely fantastic Vamps vs Mages Horror fantasy film. Everything that "Underworld" should have been, but wasn't....

Saw 2 - I think we all know about this one...

MirrorMask - Strange "Alice In Wonderland"-inspired fantasy film from Neil Gaiman and Dave McKean.. Seriously strange and trippy visuals and a very palpable sense of the unreal make this a pretty enjoyable film... Just try to ignore the rather irritating Jazz score (which unfortunately you dont have the option of switching off in the menu...) and you'll probably like it...

Should be getting Saw 3 from Mr Wong too

Why notjust go to the cinema?

Why notjust go to the cinema?

Hate cinemas, well more the people that go to them

Prefer watching stuff in the comfort of my own home

1) I DESPISE people talking during movies

2) I hate rattling of crisp packets

3) I hate chavs that have no consideration for other people watching movie

4) I hate the lack of legroom and uncomfortable seating

At home I have large screen tv (projector in the New Year), a sofa to relax and stretch my legs on, a home cinema speaker system, much more comfortable and no one to bug me :)

for people with freeview. this is on film4 this month.

Peter Pan (live action film, not cartoon) - REALLY like it

They're not films but I bought 'Angels In America' and 'Flint Street Nativity' this week.

I rented 'United 93' and watched the original 'Psycho' too.
