June 8, 20205 yr That's a good shout, completely forgot about The Weeknd! I'd say he'll definitely appear, so let's swap him for Enrique (and possibly Bob Dylan for Jamiroquai based on King Rollo's reasoning). My top 20 predix now: Michael Jackson Robbie Williams Justin Timberlake George Michael Ed Sheeran Eminem Will Young Olly Murs Jason Derulo Elton John Calvin Harris Bruno Mars Prince David Bowie Freddie Mercury Kanye West Usher Stevie Wonder The Weeknd Bob Dylan (or Jamiroquai!) June 9, 20205 yr I've now realised that Jamiroquai are a group so I think we have our final 20 settled.
June 9, 20205 yr Yeah it seems you're right about Jamiroquai, I just always assumed it was a Simply Red type situation where he's basically the band. Hopefully Gezza can confirm or deny whether our final 20 is correct or not.

June 9, 20205 yr Love a bit of Jason, more so his old stuff tbh. Ed really never been a fan, he does have a few good songs from a long time ago but his output in the last 5 years has been mainly crap imo
June 9, 20205 yr I actually like Jason DeRulo tbh I don’t know if I regret voting for him or not (like I didn’t put Bieber on my list and I’d say JB has better hits than him) but yeah he did have some bangers. I do think he lacks sort of versatility perhaps though. That could be why I missed him off. Like he has bangers and catchy hits but none of this albums kinda have a theme they just sort merge into one. I’m shocked at Ed being so high on this site. He’s very hit and miss for me some of his stuff is spot on though and at times he is a great writer.
June 9, 20205 yr Oh dear. I wouldn't rank either of those in the top 20. (well obviously since I didn't put either in my top 20 )
June 9, 20205 yr I’m quite shocked we already lost Shawn too mainly just bc he has an artist forum! I definitely didn’t expect him to beat Ed. I’m really intrigued now at how this list could go. It’s way more unpredictable than the females one I think as on this site males aren’t discussed as much so it’s hard to try and guess and then there’s the recency factor helping some acts out still to appear whilst others have legacy on their side. Very excited to see how these goes and happy I still have a good few of mine to still appear as well. Had I voted on this again some of my top 30 (mainly 21-30 would be different now I’ve seen people’s names who’ve left oops). Excited though!
June 9, 20205 yr Jason Derulo has some certified bangers - I had 13 points for him so he may have been a place or two higher if I'd submitted my votes but I'm happy to see him in the Top 20, fully deserved. I actually thought Ed would be a little higher than that.
June 9, 20205 yr Would have never bet Derulo finishing Top 50, let alone this high! He seems an artist, who is there, but never there... don't know how to explain it properly Ed Sheeran, on the contrary, expected him much higher, though seeing how much overplayed and tiresome his songs become with endless chart runs, can maybe understand this. Not a fan of either though
June 9, 20205 yr Glad those two are out now, agree with others saying they expected Ed to be much higher though!
June 9, 20205 yr Ed gets way too much hate on here, his last couple of releases were admittedly patchy but I loved his first two albums and there have still been plenty of good songs on the last couple as well. He would have been in my list for this if I did one.
June 9, 20205 yr Out of the ones (we think) are left, hoping to see MJ, Elton, Freddie, Prince, Will Young, George Michael all be top 10 🤞🏻
June 9, 20205 yr Great start to the Top 20 there with Jason Derulo and the 'PSG of the UK Charts' Ed Sheeran.
