I've never been a massive fan of Adam's solo music but decided to give this a full listen out of curiosity/corona-induced boredom. I have to say I'm glad I did. Its a triumphant nod to the late 70's disco/funk era and the first half of the album is especially strong. I've only just realised he released half of this album as an EP a few months ago but hopefully as a full album it can make a splash.

1. Velvet
2. Superpower
3. Stranger You Are
4. Loverboy
5. Roses (feat. Nile Rodgers)
6. Closer To You
7. Overglow
8. Comin In Hot
9. On The Moon
10. Love Don’t
11. Ready To Run
12. New Eyes
13. Feel Something

These are the standouts from first listen imo - if anyone can't be bothered to listen to the whole thing B-) :

I haven't been keeping up to know he had a new album, this has came as a shock to me.

I love him to bits though, and I've been a fan of everything previously (particularly the second and third albums). I will check this out!

It's been ages since the last one, hasn't it?

It definitely seems a bit low-key, so you can be forgiven for being none the wiser. It seems he parted with Warner and is now on a different (smaller) label.
I’ve got his first three albums but haven’t bought this. I’ve heard the clips but the songs don’t sound that memorable and lots of swearing in the lyrics puts me off. His last album was fantastic but this sounds very mediocre.
Entered at #54 this week - such a shame as it's got some great songs on it. His last album was Top 10 so this is all the more shocking.

I think it done well to get that high tbh - the album seemed to come out of nowhere with no build up and also a bad time to launch new music.

Adam always seemed an enigma to me. A fantastic voice but he never seemed to establish a musical identity or know what to do with it!

And many of his fans were so over the top to the point they damaged his brand.

I’ll give it a listen...

Agree with the fans part - he had/has some HYSTERICAL fans that take it to a whole new level.

I used to go on an American music forum and some Glamberts were unreal.

Buying him a car, saying he wasn’t really gay, bigger than Michael Jackson spring to mind!

He of course is a really nice guy.
