I can't go on if I ain't living in your arms

Double elimination to start us out. First out, unsurprisingly running out of time early is the instrumental Out of Time. The music is used in an extremely tense moment of the film as Ally arrives in time for Jackson's big concert; a concert that will give birth to her career and change her life forever. A brilliant moment of the film, but on the soundtrack it lags far behind the others!

We also lose Too Far Gone. With a run time of just under a minute and a half, it acts as an interlude of sorts on the soundtrack but also one of the final things Jackson has to say. Powerful for this reason and in the context of the film, highly damning, Jackson is able to express his undying love for Ally and wish for freedom... a freedom he no doubt gets in the closing of the film.
