right at #20 now... Amazon is always full of TikTok songs, even more so than Spotify

 

Big move also today for S1mba - Rover up to #39 on Spotify... this is #6 on Apple, so sure will be new in the top 40 this Friday

There's something that feels a little ambiguously racist about this DripReport thing (unless it's an actual Indian guy taking the piss out of himself / 'Indian people online' memes but there doesn't seem to be much information about the person behind it out there on the web).

I can understand watching the Tiktoks with the song, but streaming it voluntarily on Spotify ouch :/ it's awful

Haseeb Uddin Ahmad, known as DripReport, is a YouTuber and artist who is famous for doing indian-style covers of popular songs.

 

... is all I could find.

 

So it is someone taking the mick out of their own culture, but I imagine in the TikTok world there are legions of people laughing at the culture / him that don't belong to it. Pretty harmless though so far ~ but who knows how these things escalate.

I know playlisting impacts a lot but the massive difference for Juliet and Romeo on AM and Spotify is really weird

Juliet & Romeo must be heavily promoted on Apple's playlists like Ava Max the other week... but happens all the time, Rita Ora was also #30 on Apple a couple weeks ago and not top 200 on Spotify...

Drake is number 1 even though now again BL is number 1 on HHUK and still Drake is around 30, Really weird they aren't putting him up already. BL will be 1 tomorrow for sure.

Sure but let's face it, TS is a pop song, by Drake. I can see it getting higher, at least top 10? It's really too low for what it is now at the charts.
