I am holding off for next Saturday because it'll be more special viewing for the first time with Jay and Joseph off here (Jay and I watched ASIB together too). I could go in the week but I'm holding out! :w00t-old:

i saw this last night, and she really is the saviour of the film!

it is in no way bad, but her and al pacino (!!) are the only ones who manage to bring the campiness that a film like this desperately needs, the downside being that some of the moments stand out a bit too much. without them though, the film would have been a dreary mess.

so happy she’s getting the recognition she deserves for this role !

Saw this last night. First time I've been to the cinema since the start of Covid.

Gaga was amazing as I thought she would be - such a massive fan so I will always support every project she's involved in.

Gaga absolutely dominated every scene she was in, I couldn't take my eyes off her. She was brilliant, as was Al Pacino and Adam Driver.

I didn't know whether Jared Leto was trying to be funny on purpose or whether that's just how it came across, but I didn't really get his performance, other than that it was a great film.

Yasssss! :w00t: Was the cinema busy?

Sorry just seen this, no it wasn’t tbh

I just came back from the cinema, restrictions have changed again today so we have to keep 1,5m distance everywhere which meant they couldn't sell all the tickets but it was still sold-out for what they could possibly sell which is good!

The movie was entertaining, it was a bit too long at points and could have been better but Lady GaGa herself was sensational. She steals every scene she is in and is made for the cinema. I've loved her since 2008 but never expected her to be such a good movie star. It's a joy to watch and should give her her fourth Oscar nomination.

Ok this has sent me and made me feel so emotional. I cannot WAIT! I am going to be an absolute wreck with pride if she's as good as everyone is saying. I CANT WAIT.

House Of Gucci has already made almost half of its production budget of $75M back in its first days. International total stands at $34M - a box office triumph.

Variety adds: "there's still an audience for adult dramas, as long as Lady Gaga is featured in a starring role."
