November 20, 200618 yr Hold on, I just noticed Matt Willis. What the HELL is he doing releasing the album before the single?

November 20, 200618 yr He's already released two singles off the new album though. The new single is only beginning to get promotion and there's not enough hype surrounding this release, it will flop worse than it was going to now.
November 20, 200618 yr Is this chart ever right? The Beatles only at 4? What planet are they living on? I'm not sure what your saying. I think they have it spot on at #4. :D The three above are going to shift loads and those below, maybe not to much so why cant the Beatles sell a decent amount to enter at #4?
November 20, 200618 yr if he thinks he will be charting high in the albums just because he is in im a celeb, he is wrong, because he is boring as a plank of wood!
November 20, 200618 yr I would like Emma to do well with the charity single, so I hope Wollies are right. Really pleased for Take That. :cheer:
November 20, 200618 yr Poor Pink, Lemar and The Feeling...all not in many stores...they weren't in the one I was in this morning...they only have a yellow cardboard stand with the top 20 singles in it...
November 20, 200618 yr Poor Pink, Lemar and The Feeling...all not in many stores...they weren't in the one I was in this morning...they only have a yellow cardboard stand with the top 20 singles in it... What percentage of sales go toward the charts from Woolies? there's loads of other music outlets to buy from, I'm sure Woolies didn't stock Shakira the first week.
November 20, 200618 yr Nice to see the CIN single retailed at £1.99 when other years it's been priced as high as £3.99. Should shift a fair few at that price.
November 20, 200618 yr I didn't know Lemar had a single out. Has his bubble burst? What did his last album sell? He wins loads of awards, gets lots of cred etc - I'm surprised he seems to have gone off the radar at the moment.

No, I mean #4 in way to low. Most people think they will be #1. #2 at least IMO. They are the biggest band of all time by far and this album is simply fantastic. Their last compilation '1' sold nearly 30 million so I dont think either U2 or Wetflies have a chance of beating them myself :yahoo:
November 20, 200618 yr I think and hope that Emma will get top 4. I really hope that Lemars great 'Someone Should Tells You' does well and gets top 10 as it is such a great, catchy song and in my opinion is possibly one of his best however, his most catchy song ever 'Don't Give It Up' which got loads of promotion is his lowest charting single to date at number 21. 'Someone Should Tell You' has got a good amount of TV Promotion although I'm not sure about videoplay and radioplay although I really do hope it does well and gets top 10. It has charted in the top 70 on downloads only so it should get top 20 at least. Also, how the flip can Matt Willis possibly release his album before his third single AND whilst he is on 'I'm A Celebrity'?
November 20, 200618 yr westlife will be number one in albums, mark my words. I'm a fan too but doubt they will very much.
November 20, 200618 yr I reckon tommorrow will confirm that today's record sales are the biggest this year. At lunch time (in Swindon) there were queues in HMV, Virgin (well done for sticking Feck$h1te's album at #12 ), WHSmith & Woolworths to buy music. From what I've seen people do seem to be leaving the U2's 18 (rip-off) on the shelf in comparison to the other three contenders, so I will be very surprised if Oasis, The Beatles & Westlife fail to shift 100,000+ by Sunday. My gut instinct is that Oasis will pip Westlife to the number one spot on Sunday. While The Beatles will turn out to be the biggest sellers of the four by Xmas (because of the positive reviews & word of mouth that will spread to the casual music fans, making it the album to buy in the longer run).
November 20, 200618 yr Tomorrow's chart will be fascinating. It would be great if they were right about Emma, but I think top 5 is what we should expect. I don't think Matt and/or his record label have done nearly enough for him to have a high charting album.
November 20, 200618 yr The Beatles are currently outselling Oasis by 180 copies with U2 third then Westlife in a poor fourth.
