April 14, 20205 yr ONE Direction is secretly planning to celebrate their 10th anniversary with the possibility of treating fans to a huge show, TV special and brand new music. Rumours are swirling that the boy band are working together on a variety of hush hush projects to celebrate their decade in music. Fans noticed that with the anniversary in the diary for 23rd July, Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan have all refollowed Zayn Malik on Twitter, although Malik has not followed them back. The diehard followers discussed it so much on Twitter it caused #OneDirectionReunion to trend on the social media platform. While all five are now on different recording labels and have solo deals, a source close to one of the singer’s management teams told Page Six: “There’s still a long way to go and a lot of hurdles. Obviously, at the moment anything they do would have to be done virtually. “But there’s a lot of goodwill between them now and they want to make something happen.” Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Liam, 26, revealed the boys are talking: “We’ve got a 10-year anniversary coming up so we’ve all been speaking together a lot over the last few weeks which has been really nice. “There’s a number of different things that we are all working on to try and make happen and people are forwarding emails around.” The One Direction fans were left in turmoil back in 2015 when Zayn quit the band citing “stress” after leaving their world tour. It didn’t take long for the rest of the group to split later that year and despite reassuring fans the break wouldn’t be permanent — it ended up being that way. I guess they were always going to commemorate 10 years in some way but the inclusion of Zayn is unexpected. :o I think a one-off documentary on their rise to fame covering XF, their career and what they're doing atm would be cute. Maybe a BBC/ITV special concert too. And a one-off single. :lol:
April 14, 20205 yr I think something will happen but not sure if it will be what people are hoping for, I can see it even something like all together for an interview reflecting on their time in 1D.
April 14, 20205 yr I think it will probably be a documentary and maybe a one-off single. Be interesting to see how the logistics of it all work as I'm not sure who owns the rights etc. to 1D.. I'm assuming it's all locked up in Sony/SyCo but who knows. They could maybe do a one off TV performance. I suspect this would just wet the appetitte for an eventual tour, especially as Louis and Liam's solo careers have failed to take off and who knows what Zayn is up to since his label made such a hash of his last album.
May 4, 20205 yr Like the Friends reunion I expect the One Direction reunion to also be delayed, that said, nothing official is yet to be confirmed.
