Love Thing brings back the most memories. I remember listening to the album on a rainy Sunday in 1996 and playing this song over and over on my cassette

It's wild that this album was the best selling album in USA 1997. Sometimes, one needs a reminder of how huge they were! It's crazy!

To be fair, Melanie did promote Spice 25 on her own. She filmed videos for Instagram with the vinyls, went on American TV, performed 2 Become 1 and mentioned the anniversary edition on Dancing with th

Such a sassy, punchy track! One of my favourite album tracks. Possibly strong enough to be a single, but I think they chose all the singles wisely so it wasn't a huge loss. LOVED it on tour last year!

Love Thing is pure class and JOY! I can totally see why this was considered a first single, as I thknk it really incapsulates the album: pop, feminist, fun with an edge of R&B.

Geri and Mel really shine on it. AND REMEMBER THIS?!!

I loved it at last year's tour too!! For me, it really shows them to be the perfect combination of pop stars :yahoo:

I remember it was one of my favourites instantly.

Last Time Lover the only song to not have being performed live by the band of this album.

Last Time Lover is an underrated GEM. Never really loved it when I was a kid, and now I think it is as good as Something Kinda Funny and Naked.

With age, I began to appreciate the more moody side of the Spice Girls and how much they explored sexuality in a cool and interesting way. It's all over their music, perhaps the more prominent here.

So glad that they included it, as it is quite cool and groovy and balances out the album really well. Definitely one that aged really well in my opinion!! Could totally see them doing more this type of music nowadays.

A really sexy and funky song, bringing out that British R&B side to the group! I really wish they'd found a moment to perform this at some point in their career. :(

Do you think I'm really cool and sexy? And I know you wanna get with me.

'Mama' is probably my least favourite on the album but it's cute all the same! It was sweet when the girls brought out their kids/mums on tour for it.

'Mama' used to be a huge favourite from them for me! :o It hasn't held up much in the past few years, but it's still a real beauty.

Today is International Mother's Day too, so shoutout to all the mothers, grans, aunts and women out there :cheer: <3

Mama a cute song but my least favourite of the singles.
Also, thank you for this thread. It's providing much solance from the shit show that is the current state of the UK. Boris' announcement just now was scary as hell...
