(10); WinterFreeze (09.5) + ...ready for it & Jordan Lee (09) Lowest: Scene (04) & Sharon (05.5) And just like that we lose another one of Tedder's own. Stop And Stare was the 2nd single from their debut album 'Dreaming Out Loud' and was a huge hit for the band as it followed up the monster smash hit 'Apologize'. It went on to peak at #4 for 3 consecutive weeks in 2008 and spent a huge 23 weeks inside the top 75. It's pop/rock balladry at it's finest! I find it very anthemic and following it's chart success was thrilling to see as it is one of my earliest memories of following the iTunes chart here on Buzzjack! So good and I wish it was remembered more.
April 30, 20205 yr Wasn't even on my radar aha :P ^ I forgot there even was an Impossible on Kelly's album.:lol: Poor taste detected Not S&S above CT. Poor taste again. Edited April 30, 20205 yr by Nick F1
April 30, 20205 yr Poor taste detected Not S&S above CT. Poor taste again. I saw the Britney head and S&S and forgot what rate I was reading. :drama: I thought S&S was Scream & Shout.
May 1, 20205 yr Author 08 LEONA LEWIS - TAKE A BOW [8.30] UK T75 CHART RUN: N/A uvsFra0FFw0 Highest: Nick F1 (11); Scene, Jonjo, WinterFreeze & Jordan Lee (10); WinterFreeze (09.5) + ...ready for it & Jordan Lee (09) Lowest: Mack. 🐠 (04) In at #8 is an album track taken from Leona's monstrous debut album 'Spirit'. Take A Bow was the immediate fan favourite upon the release of her album. Fans had been crying out for it's release, so much so that it actually charted in the top 100 at #97 on downloads alone! Over 12 years later and it's still highly regarded as one of Leona's absolute best songs. The synths turn this traditional powerhouse ballad, into something a bit more edgier and livelier. A storming pop song and it would have felt like it showed a different side to Leona, despite being very much on brand for her. It was sad to see this didn't make single status, but that's just the way it goes sometimes.
May 1, 20205 yr Stunning! I wonder if Rihanna's 'Take A Bow' discouraged the label from pushing it?
May 1, 20205 yr Author 07 SEAN PAUL feat. ALEXIS JORDAN - GOT 2 LUV U [8.38] UK T75 CHART RUN: 11-17-19-26-33-45-54->7 Weeks tDq3fNew1rU Highest: Dobbo, Jonjo, Cameron 🐠, Sharon 🍷, Hauspital* & Jordan Lee (10) + Mack. 🐠 (09) Lowest: ...ready for it (05) + Nightcrawler (05.5) Up next at 7 is the Sean Paul collaboration with Alexis Jordan, the club banger Got 2 Luv U. Not gonna lie, I knew this peaked outside the top 10 at #11, but I always envisioned it had a longer run than just 7 weeks top 40? Lmao. It's SO good and feels a lot bigger than the meh chart run suggests, to me? I was also surprised to learn Ryan was involved with this whilst making this list. However, hearing it now I can hear Ryan singing on the demo of it! It's his style completely. fantastic amount of 10's got given to this song. Dragged down by the two scores of 5. Hearing this again and I crave a Sean Paul greatest hits, SO BAD! WHAT A DISCOGRAPHY FOR HIM *.*
May 1, 20205 yr G2LU is a bop but I wish Ryan released it himself. His demo is so good! And it's only a demo lol. ITe0kFutghk This was rumoured to be for Glassheart. :drama:
May 1, 20205 yr I didn’t mean to score Got To Love U that highly oops. Take A Bow is definitely amongst Leonas best. One of the biggest missed opportunities it definitely would’ve showed a different side to her in a more natural way to what Forgive Me did.
May 1, 20205 yr Author 06 ELLA HENDERSON - GHOST [8.57] UK T75 CHART RUN: 1-1-2-2-3-4-3-4-6-5-10-12-12-18-17-17-21-22-16-18-21-29-37-45-49-43-37-33-30-30-38-42-44-50-50-51-49-50-51-59-63-74-72R(2)->43 Weeks tA8AfQaUnXM Highest: Infludexton*, Jonjo, Cameron , WinterFreeze, Sharon & Jordan Lee (10) + ...ready for it (09) Lowest: Mack. (05) We have a little bit of a surprise up next. Ghost by Ella Henderson absolutely WIPED THE FLOOR with all the other songs in the X Factor rate I did not too long ago, but here she seems to have struggled in this one, stalling at #6 with a far worse average (but still a solid average overall!). Such a powerful song and the chorus is undeniably huge. A masterpiece and although a different, faster tempo to the typical Tedder pop girl power ballad, this fits right at home with the likes of 'Bleeding Love', 'Already Gone', 'Halo' etc... it was a MASSIVE hit for Ella. It scored 2 weeks at number 1, spent 11 weeks top 10 and 43 weeks in the top 75. Such a great song that we don't get much of anymore </3
May 1, 20205 yr Author And here is your top 5... Apologize (Timbaland feat. OneRepublic) {3} Battlefield (Jordin Sparks) {11} Bleeding Love (Leona Lewis) {1} Rumour Has It (Adele) {85} Turning Tables (Adele) {62} What is your pick and are there any surprises? --- As this is a Ryan Tedder rate, it pleases me that he has managed to overcome some firm Buzzjack faves and get a song of his/OR in the top 5  What a song it is too!
May 1, 20205 yr Didn't get to vote in this but if I had to guess and predict Bleeding Love and Turning Tables will be top 2.
May 2, 20205 yr Author 05 ADELE - TURNING TABLES [8.76] UK T75 CHART RUN: 62-68R(18)->2 Weeks bsFCO8-oCEQ Highest: ...ready for it, Scene, WinterFreeze & Mack. 🐠 (10); Infludexton* & Sharon 🍷 + Jonjo & Hauspital* (09) Lowest: Dobbo (06) Starting off the top 5 is the 5th and final single from Adele's humongous '21' album Turning Tables. This spent just 2 weeks in the top 75, peaking at #62, however this was the 5th single, following a song that didn't make the top 75, from an album that had sold about 2 billion copies at that point, so seeing it make the top 75 at all was impressive enough  It was featured and covered in an episode of the second season of Glee too as the song was covered by Gwyneth Paltrow. It's such a brilliant ballad and was considered an immediate highlight of the album.
May 2, 20205 yr Beautiful song and deserved at least a top 20 peak - although considering the album's sales at that point it's hardly surprising.
May 3, 20205 yr Author 04 ONEREPUBLIC (feat. TIMBALAND) - APOLOGIZE [8.80] UK T75 CHART RUN: 75-32-6-7-4-3-3-4-5-4-6-10-4-4-8-11-13-18-22-20-18-22-25-24-22-27-31-36-36-44-53-63-66-68-60-60-68-74-73-72-70-72->42 Weeks ZSM3w1v-A_Y Highest: ...ready for it, Infludexton* & Mack. 🐠 (10); Jonjo, Cameron 🐠 & WinterFreeze (09.5) + Nightcrawler & Jordan Lee (09) Lowest: Nick F1 & Hauspital* (07) At #4 we have Apologize by OneRepublic. This was their big breakout moment as hey got Timbaland to remix their song slightly and commissioned it to radio and it became a MASSIVE hit. Peaking at number 3 for 2 weeks here in the UK, spending 42 weeks inside the top 75. It definitely launched the band as superstars and obviously helped turn their 'Dreaming Out Loud' album into becoming a smash. A song that holds up incredibly well, 13 years later. Not surprised to see it in the top 5!
