Most of the reception I've seen to Hayley's release strategy has... not been particularly positive lol so I wouldn't count on this becoming a massive trend.

yes, quite surprising Charli is #1 on NMF with a random album track, when there are quite a few new releases this week

Loving the new tracks released, Liking the new Katy Perry, Kygo and Charli Xcx.

I thought the new Katy Perry was very underwhelming, not a patch on Never Really Over

for me, another average track from her, just like the last 3/4

 

Not really wowed by any of the new releases

Disappointed with Katy again, she keeps releasing VERY mediocre tracks.

 

Can’t see it doing anything.

 

Charli as well...A bit meh.

 

I’m really missing huge pop releases.

Was hoping Martin Garrix could get a higher NMF placing :(

All newly released songs in the top 200 but there isn't yet a particular breakout song. 'Solitaires' is the track that was on NMF so should be his highest new track on Spotify tomorrow too most likely.

 

Looking back in Kworb's archives, Future only charted 2 songs in the top 100 and 5 in the top 200 on Spotify from his last full album, so if he does anything resembling the above on Spotify he should be on for quite a bit higher numbers than that last album, might well be able to snag a low sales #1?

I quite like Daisies on first listen but it doesn't wow me. :( I just don't think mid-tempo Katy generally works. :unsure: She needs to serve another Never Really Over. She's proven she still has what it takes when she really tries. I half wish she'd just go away for a few years and work on creating magic rather than releasing mediocre singles constantly. It does her image no favours. :lol:

Probably not a great idea to already be hyping 'Rain On Me' as a #1 just one week after the last big Ariana collab failed to get there (not to mention that Gaga's last solo single did pretty similarly to Bieber's). xx
I think Gaga and Ari are more likely to get the #1 than the Bieber collab. The pure sales will be big. I imagine and hope it will get a bigger push on HH. It will also have a proper music video and may end up being more of a 'moment'. Not to mention Stuck With U is extremely boring, if it was any good I think it would have got the #1.

I wouldn't be so enthusiastic, don't forget Spotify/Apple are dominated by kids listening to urban not pop

and even the most perfect and great pop songs (ie Dua Lipa) struggle in front of urban songs that easily reach #1

DaBaby is still growing and so far has little playlist support... will still be hard to beat in a week's time

biggest climber is Regard/Raye up to #14 on Apple

Future not dominating as much as I thought, his highest newies at #25 and #26 on Apple

Poor 'Don't Start Now' being blocked from #1 by the hardcore urban anthem 'Dance Monkey' :snif:
