ngl I think either of them would get through- No Lie does have the perk of being a top 10 hit- her first ever actually

I guess I'm just going to clarify some things...

Got to be a single, and has to be in the bottom 3 of her rate so we can pick between If Only, Swan Song or Homesick
This was the original plan of possible songs to be picked, but I then told George that we can't go with this bottom three because they were from a survivor (least favourite singles) and not a rate.

Juan, the other mod said the options were Homesick, Lost In Your Light and Swan Song to me- and if Homesick isn’t allowed he said IDGAF so that’s what I was going off of!
That's true (sort of). Based of the latest rate, "Swan Song", "Homesick" and "Lost In Your Light" were the possible picks for the bottom three. "New Love" wasn't considered as an option because it wasn't properly pushed as a single and it's the same reason why it wasn't chosen as her debut single, going with "Be The One" instead for round two.

Also, I didn't say that if "Homesick" isn't allowed, "IDGAF" was (a possible choice). I mean, the reason why I threw "IDGAF" as a possibility was because it ended in the bottom three (excluding the non-singles) in the previous rate. That said, I wasn't aware that we need to pick the bottom three from the latest rate and not from any of the previous ones. Either way, as I also told George, we can't use "IDGAF" because we need this for a future round and the same applies to "Lost In Your Light" as he already mentioned, so we're basically between "Homesick" and "Swan Song".

However, I didn't realize that non-UK singles could be vetoed in this round, which applies to "Homesick" being a single in selected European countries (Belgium and The Netherlands), so it's basically either "Swan Song" and "No Lie" because "Blow Your Mind (Mwah)" was already picked as it was previously mentioned.

No Lie >>>>>> Swan Song

I second this -_-

No Lie is such a bop, surely it would a very safe option for a round like this
Not that it should have been picked but everyone glossed over that My Love should have been one of the 3 singles to pick from
Omg My Love is even better than No Lie! It could even be a discovery for a lot of people I reckon too

This OCC article, which is taken from an interview by Music Week to Phil Christie, who is the president of Warner Records.

Dua Lipa's latest chart-topping single "New Rules" may be the sixth release from her self-titled debut album, but there's still "at least" two more singles to come off it, her label boss has said.

In an interview with Music Week, Warner Bros UK president Phil Christie praised Dua's drive and hard work over the past three years, adding that "New Rules" reaching the top spot on the Official Singles Chart is a "jumping off point" in the album's campaign.

"This is the sixth single off that record, so to have a Number 1 with single six is rare," he said. "But it's still just a jumping off point, we're just at the beginning of this campaign really hitting its stride."

"We've got at least another two singles to come off this record, which is a testament to the quality of the album."

Dua's singles from the collection so far are "Be The One", which reached Number 9 after a re-release this year, "Last Dance", "Hotter Than Hell" (15), "Blow Your Mind (Mwah)" (30) and "Lost In Your Light" (86).

As you could see, the article above from 2017 basically omits "New Love" as a single and considers "New Rules" as Dua's sixth single, not seventh if "New Love" is included.

Not that it should have been picked but everyone glossed over that My Love should have been one of the 3 singles to pick from
"My Love" wasn't taken into consideration because it's labeled as a promotional single (instead of a main single) from Shine despite that there's a music video. I don't think it was properly promoted as a single, aside of its inclusion in a HitDisc compilation which was sent to US Rhythmic radio.
Sounds like the label purposely left it out of that article because it wasn't a hit on the charts. I remember very well New Love being a single and it having a push at the time.

I'm not going to deny that this is a valid reason, but the same could have happened to "Last Dance" too and it was included, so I don't know why one was mentioned and the other wasn't.
