We've CONFERRED and have decided to amend the rules slightly.

AFs may now submit ONE of the following:

- An album track that charted within #76-200.

- A fully promoted* single that missed the top 75 - this can include songs that missed the chart entirely.

That opens things up a little more for those feeling restricted, and applies to ALL AFs! Every song in the list in post 2 is eligible + any fully promoted single that failed to chart, basically.

An update on the rules - does this give us any more options?

I believe in terms of Beyoncé singles it gives us these too: Get Me Bodied, Party, I Care, Perfect Duet, Dangerously In Love 2, See Me Now, Love A Woman, Put It In A Love Song, Already, and technically Mi Gente Remix as she was never credited in the UK

I'm guessing they'd need to be UK singles? But trying to define that is a minefield.

I would think 'Put It In A Love Song' doesn't count since that was clearly skipped over/cancelled (except in Australia, where it was a genuine hit, and ironically the only hit from Alicia's album). I actually considered suggesting it for the 'songs without videos' round but thought it probably wasn't a better option than the ones she had.

I love 'Party' and there's probably more of a case for it counting, since it had a video and the J. Cole single version, and probably wouldn't have done anything in the UK even if it had been ~promoted to radio~ (hence why they didn't bother trying - or maybe they did to no result, for all we know?). But even then it could just be classified as a US-only single.

'Get Me Bodied', once again, I don't know what status you'd give it, but I think 'Ring The Alarm' is a better option anyway.

'Perfect' (and 'Mi Gente' but let's not speak of that remix) would surely be cheating but also sending that would be like Ariana voluntarily sending 'Beauty And The Beast' :')

Update: scrap half of the above since they don't have to be UK singles!

Not sure if any of them are better options than 'Motivation' and 'Ring The Alarm' though. I'd totally support 'Party' but I'm not confident it's popular.

I’m not even sure I’d support Party depending on the competition tbh
I LOVE Party but it doesn't seem popular on here. It's often ranked in the lower tier of the 4 singles going by that thread.
Ring The Alarm is the only realistic choice that would do well imo.

I have changed my mind. Upgrade U would be a good choice as well. What does everyone think of it?

I prefer Upgrade U to Ring The Alarm as a song definitely but I still reckon Motivation I think... Upgrade U is a good idea tho
Motivation has done really well in a rate which has yet to have it's results revealed fully. I would honestly go with that!
Motivation is def my fave of the ones listed! So good, but my vote depends on the other forums!
idk Flawless is much more iconic

I'm aa aa aa

Why Motivation was picked over Flawless or Upgrade U? :snif:

I'm not looking for an answer because I know your job it's not easy and make everyone happy is not achievable but I just feel you had Beyonce with way better and stronger options than Motivation!!!

The sooner y'all realise that '***Flawless' isn't all that, the better tbh.

:drink:
