I love the self titled album!

But '***Flawless' has always been one of my least favourites from it & 'Motivation' is a Kelly highlight!

Dilemma, Work, When Love Takes Over, and Motivation are the biggest highlights from Kelly’s career and tbh the only songs of hers that can compete with the best of Beyonce & DC. Motivation might be the weakest link of the 4 but it’s doing pretty well so far :)
Really saddened that we are out of the AF Idol. The Beyoncé forum had a lot more to give to the competition :nocheer: .

The discussion thread mislead us  I’m GUTTED that Motivation didn’t get through after basically everyone praised it in the thread! Flawless and Upgrade U are amazing songs too but I’m still not sure how well they would’ve done either, although given how surprisingly popular Drunk In Love turned out to be in the earlier round maybe Upgrade U would’ve been the better choice. My bad :(

Shocked that Video Phone was better received than Motivation *.*

I overestimated Motivations support and still pushed for it! My bad guys in hindsight we definitely should’ve gone with Upgrade U - I wasn’t too worried about this round given the poor choices maybe other forums had but when the rules expanded I didn’t think it would change much...

I’m glad we managed to at least match our peak from the last AF Idol :) And we managed to get some surprises through like Scared Of Lonely, Video Phone (!), and to a lesser extent Drunk In Love. These last 2 rounds were just very difficult but at least we made it this far! Thank you to everyone who has given votes Beyonce/Kelly/Destiny’s Child’s way

We had a rough plan of what to send for most of the next remaining rounds so as they are revealed we can discuss our missed opportunities here if anyone has any interest! Although this was the one round I had little ideas for  ‘Sandcastles’ probably would’ve been my first choice but we had quite a few options!

I feel bad for having pushed for 'Motivation' too  Is 'Upgrade U' really more popular than 'Ring The Alarm' or even 'Get Me Bodied' / other 'B'Day' songs? I was thinking 'Ring The Alarm' was the one that should've been chosen in retrospect, but there was really no safe or obvious choice this round... despite having so many eligible songs.

Interestingly you didn't repeat a single song from the first AF Idol! 'Formation', 'Sweet Dreams', 'Irreplaceable', 'Survivor', 'Work', 'Baby Boy' + 'Say My Name', 'Dilemma', 'Scared Of Lonely', 'Drunk In Love', 'Video Phone', 'Motivation'. Is the common link between 'Baby Boy' and 'Motivation' that they're both too ''''''urban''''''? Maybe pile on the 'Commander', 'Rose Colored Glasses', 'Down For Whatever' etc next time to be safe :kink: (except not 'Down For Whatever' because that was a reshuffle #10 smash)

Surprised that you were thinking 'Sandcastles' over 'All Night' - I thought 'Sandcastles' was typically the least rated song on the album, while I recall 'All Night' being a highlight for some people at least (maybe not on this site).

All Night was a single otherwise it definitely would be my choice!
Ohh I forgot about that. Feels like it barely counts since it's just that it was sent to radio, and it didn't perform that significantly (it made #23 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, unlike, say, radio-only single 'Dance For You' which made #6, or Rihanna's 'Loveeeeeee Song' which made #4). Although I do remember some of the videos being gradually uploaded to YouTube as quasi-'single releases' and 'All Night' was one in November 2016.

Ring The Alarm probably would’ve done just as well as Upgrade U I think, whether that’s qualifying for the next round or missing out on enough votes like Motivation I’m not sure. We’ll find out next AF Idol  Formation was one of two possible songs for a future round, as was Work, and Sweet Dreams was definitely being used later on. Ideally it would’ve been the “final round” song as it’s the most popular Beyonce song on Buzzjack (judging by rates etc) although we probably would’ve used it within the next few rounds as I doubt we would get far enough to merit keeping a song to use in the final :P

Commander is always an option but I feel like When Love Takes Over will always trump it tbh. Also having just read your last comment - I would have argued for All Night to be eligible for this round given that information! It would certainly be my first choice as I can’t think of any other album track ballads oops

Yeah I have a hunch about a future round (based on songs I've seen people say they're saving) and was thinking 'Formation' was likely for that :kink:

Feel like you had a strong path ahead with the likes of 'Crazy In Love', 'Halo', 'When Love Takes Over', 'Irreplaceable' and 'Lose My Breath' also presumably saved for later and 'Telephone' if Gaga had gone out first without using it, if 'Motivation' had gotten past that hump.

Motivation picked up a lot of votes it must have been close !
It’s a silly competition anyway . No big deal.

'Flaws And All' is her best album track ballad  I think 'Heaven' would've done very well too and may have been your best option!

Heaven must have slipped my mind *.* I don’t give enough love to the self titled tbh aside from Drunk In Love I always seem to ignore the other songs :drama:

Beyoncé pumping out so many singles in non-clear chronologies that I'm not sure what would've actually been eligible for this round :cheeseblock:

Wikipedia says Kelly Rowland's 'Dirty Laundry' was the last single from its album so that's my favourite and since this is only hypothetical it doesn't matter if nobody else cares about it :cheer:

'Jumpin', Jumpin'' and 'Naughty Girl' probably could've been decent options though (depending what the competition is like), as well as seemingly 'End Of Time' ('Pretty Hurts' wouldn't have counted because at the very least '7/11' was after it).
