A place to discuss Madonna's 1st soundtrack album 'Who's That Girl'. Released in 1987, for the film 'Who's That Girl'.

1. Who's That Girl

2. Causing a Commotion

3. The Look of Love

4. 24 Hours (Duncan Faure)

5. Step by Step (Club Nouveau)

6. Turn It Up (Michael Davidson)

7. Best Thing Ever (Scritti Politti)

8. Can't Stop

9. El Coco Loco (So So Bad) [Coati Mundi]

Can’t stop is a bop !! Never choose to play it so when it comes on shuffle I love it !!

I don't think I've ever checked out the non-Madonna tracks tbh! 'Causing a Commotion' needs more appreciation - it has the catchiest hook and I love the middle-8!

'Who's That Girl' gets unfairly passed off as an inferior 'La Isla Bonita' but I think it more than stands up in its own right. It's a delightful, uplifting song and a great extension of True Blue.

The only one I don't have time for is 'The Look of Love'. I like the intro, it's tropical sounding but also quite mysterious too, but the rest of the song is quite forgettable.

The soundtrack performed really well considering the movie was a flop and Madonna appears on just four songs. The power of Madonna!

I also don't really know this album beyond the Madonna songs! I will give it time at some point and change that though.

From what I do know, 'Causing a Commotion' is my favourite.

I’ve never listens to the non madge songs. Same as on the bodyguard soundtrack for Whitney !

Random but thanks to the EP release (I assume) Who’s That Girl debuted at #9 on the Dance/Electronic Digital Songs chart on Billboard.
