We know there was something coming with Rih this year. She's been in the studio, she'd promised and everything was pointing towards a 2020 release. But with the pandemic delaying so many projects/tours, do you think it'll be another year of no Solo Rih and we'll be waiting until or 2021? Or, as some people have speculated (this isn't some crank conspiracy theory I'm making up people acc think this), will there be no new album for the foreseeable, at least for a good few years or even EVER? :cry:

 

It really is guesswork but my gut feeling is early 2021 :(

My gut feeling is similar to yours but it’s really impossible to tell as she gives nothing away and she’s very quiet on social media regarding music.

 

It could very well come at some point in Q4 (but with the very heavily rumoured Adele release) she may again want to wait until her albums been released for a weeks as an Adele album would completely dominate the market.

 

I don’t know how much the current situation is affecting her plans right now as well but yeah I do think we are getting an album I don’t think she’ll ever completely stop music but we’ll just be getting albums with at least a three year gap going forward.

This year seems far too optimistic and anything beyond December next year is truly taking the piss. Rihanna's contract clearly says nothing about having to release an album within a certain period of time. :lol:

I'd be surprised if it came this year. We could be looking at waiting at least another year from now.

Yeah I think R9 will come out in 2021 now.

I would expect somewhere in 2021, definitely not earlier.
