Gaga's slayage is unreal! To think this queen was written off back in 2016 - maybe even as early as 2014! 'Rain On Me' is looking to be a stable and lasting hit rather than a SL-style enter and then drop 10 spots. :tearsmile: Her album sales are also higher than anyone would have expected! Are we getting a second wave of Gaga domination? :o :o I hope this song isn't a fluke and she can secure another top 10 (or big top 20) single after this. I need to properly listen to the album but 'Alice' sounds amazing and far better than anything I heard from her Joanne era.

 

I think we can push for some more top 40 hits from this album.

 

Top 10 i don’t know maybe if we get a re release in q4 / 2021 or a future single gets pushed with a remix (like Babylon and the Haus Labs version). Singles wise I think we may get similar-ish success to ASIBs I’ll Never Love Again / Always Remember Us This Way with future releases. Can definitely see some more tracks peaking between 21-40.

 

Amazing seeing Dave #1. Would love that to repeak and get a second wave of success. Loved that track since BRITs.

Amazing to see CG at #9. :o :o :o 'This Is America' is not my cup of tea musically but it is almost the perfect song to reflect what's going on at the moment! The video is one of the best of the past few years also! I'm shocked and disappointed 'Black' isn't top 50. Such an important message conveyed flawlessly.

Dave isn't too much lower than he was after his BRITs performance, #59 is still a pretty great impact - like I said when it did return following the BRITs, it was never a huge streaming hit to begin with and I don't think anything will ever make it one, it just doesn't seem like the sort of song many people would keep in high rotation for long periods of time. Just nice to see it getting another little resurgence and hopefully in the long run it'll turn out to be a more remembered song than its limited commercial success indicates.

 

Brilliant to see 'This Is America' managing to make the top 10 of course and even moreso for 'Alright' to impact the top 40, what a song :wub: They're at #2 (!) and #11 respectively in the US.

 

Surprised that 2Pac's 'Changes' doesn't seem to have been one of the songs pushed on blackout related playlists! It is in the top 30 on iTunes alongside Dave though.

Glad that Blackout Tuesday managed to make an impact even here

Dave isn't too much lower than he was after his BRITs performance, #59 is still a pretty great impact - like I said when it did return following the BRITs, it was never a huge streaming hit to begin with and I don't think anything will ever make it one, it just doesn't seem like the sort of song many people would keep in high rotation for long periods of time. Just nice to see it getting another little resurgence and hopefully in the long run it'll turn out to be a more remembered song than its limited commercial success indicates.

 

Fair point but I thought #1 on Hot Hits would've ensured a top 50 position. :P I guess it isn't the be all and end all.

the thing about being #1 on Hot Hits is that if it's a song people don't want to listen to, it's easy enough to just start the playlist at #2.

but if you're the 2nd or 3rd track in a list of actual popular songs you'll get quite a few streams from people just listening to the playlist and who either can't skip it on time or aren't bothered with having it on even if it's not the song they'd have chosen.

so Black going that high is fairly impressive still, especially considering it wasn't on the America-centric playlist which was responsible for those other entries.
