June 24, 20205 yr I can proudly reveal that in this edition there are no songs on zero points :cheer: So without further ado let's begin with the countdown: 75-61: XWJrPzAUzAs 61 Angel – Shaggy featuring Rayvon 40 pts. 62 If You Come Back - Blue 36 pts. 63 Purple Pills - D12 35 pts. 64 A Little Respect – Wheatus 33 pts. 65 Queen Of My Heart - Westlife 30 pts. 66 Let's Dance - Five 28 pts. 67 Too Close - Blue 27 pts. 68 Take Me Home (A Girl Like Me) - Sophie Ellis-Bextor 25 pts. 69 Somethin' Stupid - Robbie Williams & Nicole Kidman 24 pts. 70 Cold As Ice – M.O.P. 23 pts. 71 You Rock My World - Michael Jackson 23 pts. 72 Lovin' Each Day - Ronan Keating 20 pts. 73 Hey Baby (Uhh, Ahh) - DJ Otzi 18 pts. 74 Mambo No.5 - Bob The Builder 9 pts. 75 Another Day In Paradise - Brandy featuring Ray-J 9 pts. Ok, in this group the last position is a duet between siblings Brandy and Ray J with Phil Collins cover of 'Another Day In Paradise'. Clearly in Buzzjack is just another day in the bottom for them oops :kink: We also see the king of pop Michael Jackson in bottom 5 with his 00's comeback You Rock My World!!! Robbie and Nicole finished way too low considering that was pretty popular in AF Idols 2.0.
June 24, 20205 yr 60-51: Yioliz1brHA 51 One Night Stand - Mis-Teeq 51 pts. 52 I'm Real - Jennifer Lopez 48 pts. 53 21 Seconds - So Solid Crew 47 pts. 54 Have You Ever - S Club 7 47 pts. 55 Uptown Girl - Westlife 46 pts. 56 Because I Got High - Afroman 44 pts. 57 Smooth Criminal - Alien Ant Farm 44 pts. 58 Do You Really Like It - DJ Pied Piper and the Masters of Ceremonies 43 pts. 59 U Remind Me - Usher 41 pts. 60 Perfect Gentleman - Wyclef Jean 40 pts. In this batch we start with Wyclef Jean from The Fugees fame with his biggest solo hit(?). Usher didn't make much noise in this round, I guess it's not until 3 years later where we might see him higher. Also we lose some BJ faves such as S Club 7, J.Lo and Mis-Teeq :nocheer:. One Night Stand is really one of their best IMO.
June 24, 20205 yr Author I feel like Shaggy was an innovator with getting featured artists to sing the choruses before it became the norm. (I'm sure there are many examples predating Shaggy but I can't think of any) No real losses in that section. Sad to see Something Stupid out so soon though. I never knew Brandy and Ray-J were siblings. :o Wait this is the same Ray-J who had a sex tape with Kim K? :o
June 24, 20205 yr Author 52 I'm Real - Jennifer Lopez 48 pts. 54 Have You Ever - S Club 7 47 pts. 56 Because I Got High - Afroman 44 pts. :frankie:
June 24, 20205 yr 50-41: VPiBLyrxXeg 41 American Dream - Jakatta 77 pts. 42 Follow Me - Uncle Kracker 70 pts. 43 Chain Reaction - Steps 67 pts. 44 Pure And Simple - Hear'Say 66 pts. 45 Butterfly - Crazy Town 65 pts. 46 All Rise - Blue 62 pts. 47 Heaven Is A Halfpipe - OPM 59 pts. 48 What Would You Do? - City High 56 pts. 49 The Way To Your Love - Hear'Say 54 pts. 50 All I Want - Mis-Teeq 51 pts. In last reveal we ended with Mis-Teeq and in this group we start with them!!! Both songs have finished with the same amount of 51 points. I would expected more support for the girls if I am honest!!! Idol group Hear'Say loses their both entries in this group. Some one hit wonders also Crazy Town and Uncle Kracker. And I know I didn't vote for it but that Jakatta - American Dream track is lush!!!

June 24, 20205 yr 40-36: uxMaEjwQlEk 36 Everytime You Need Me - Fragma featuring Maria Rubia 86 pts. 37 Rollin' - Limp Bizkit 85 pts. 38 Eternity - Robbie Williams 84 pts. 39 Stereophonics - Mr. Writer 78 pts. 40 Eternal Flame - Atomic Kitten 78 pts. And now into Top 40 where things start getting more interested :cheer: Atomic Kittens loses the battle with their second #1 hit 'Eternal Flames'. It's terrible cover lol so no surprise. They're still in the game with much much better song coming up later in reveal!!! Fragma didn't have the same luck in 2001 as previous year and qualify with 'Everytime You Need Me'. I think the song is amazing but it was expected that it won't qualify for the finals none the less!!!
June 24, 20205 yr Author Hear'Say came from Popstars not Pop Idol. All I Want deserves better! #50 is far too low!
June 24, 20205 yr Hear'Say came from Popstars not Pop Idol. All I Want deserves better! #50 is far too low! What's the difference? :P
June 24, 20205 yr Author What's the difference? :P One show created Girls Aloud the other created :michelle: :kink:
June 24, 20205 yr 'Rollin' & 'Mr Writer' like 'Eternity' as well and EF but The Bangles is the stronger version I guess! Edited June 24, 20205 yr by Rob S
June 24, 20205 yr 35-31: Urdlvw0SSEc 31 Fallin' - Alicia Keys 102 pts. 32 It's Raining Men - Geri Halliwell 98 pts. 33 Starlight - Supermen Lovers 93 pts. 34 Ride Wit Me - Nelly featuring City Spud 90 pts. 35 Out Of Reach - Gabrielle 87 pts. Alicia Keys - Fallin' fails to challenge the top 10. I expected at least top 20!!! We lose also Geri Halliwell with a cover of The Weather Girls 'It's Raining Men'
June 24, 20205 yr 30-26: IyYnnUcgeMc 26 Bootylicious - Destiny's Child 121 pts. 27 Family Affair - Mary J. Blige 117 pts. 28 Let Me Blow Ya Mind - Eve featuring Gwen Stefani 113 pts. 29 Always Come Back To Your Love - Samantha Mumba 108 pts. 30 Travis - Sing 105 pts. Travis leads the top 30. 'Sing' really struggled for a while until the mid-section when voters started to come for support. Samantha Mumba finishes 29th with Always Come Back To Your Love...a place higher than 'Gotta Tell You' in 2000's results :o Eve/Gwen collab ends up at pretty respectable #28. You'll see them again in 2003 countdown :kink: Mary J Blige 'Family Affair' manages #27 it's really one of the finest r'n'b songs in here. A little more support would have been ideal but not complaining. And Destiny's Child are at #26 with 'Bootylicious'. They still have much popular single 'Survivor' in the game but did that managed to finish top 10?!!
June 24, 20205 yr Bootylicious, Family Affair & It's Raining Men deserved better :( a BOP. The first real losses for me, the rest of my top 13 are all top 30 so hopefully they can make up the top 10 *.* I did think Bootylicious/FA would do better than that :( (IRM lowkey outperformed my expectations) For 2000, yassss at Pure Shores, Oops I Did It Again & Can't Fight The Moonlight   I thought Reach, Born To Make You Happy, I'm Outta Love, Never Had A Dream Come True & Rise would all do better so I'm gutted they didn't  Stan is the only qualifier I like oops. Yuck at all the small things & sandstorm.
June 24, 20205 yr Geri and Samantha 😍 like 'Sing' too especially the video! Edited June 24, 20205 yr by Rob S
