From memory, You Are was supposed to challenge for the 2001 Christmas #1 here but was cancelled without reason.

 

The OCC said in 2017 it was because of their scrapped New York based video after 9/11 and a poor reception from its release across Europe.

Ahhh. Maybe that's why then. Q4 would've been too much for a band that were literally in their imperial phase and any kind of flop/under performance after 2 massive #1's and the way they their career started may have impacted their 2nd era negatively so probably wasn't worth risking at that point against Robbie or something. It's a shame coz looking at the top 3, I imagine they would have been there at least with it. Maybe it not taking off in other countries (like the previous singles did) put them off?

 

Ughhhh. Such a smash in the waiting.

The fact it went Top 100 on imports alone is enough to suggest You Are would’ve been an absolute smash

I've been listening to Atomic Kitten a bit after this rating and have had had to go back and mark up some of their scores, they had such an impressive run of singles it's such a shame they are kind of disregarded when it comes to girl groups. They split too prematurely really, their album was selling well and they could have got a fourth era out quite easily.
