‘Hallucinate’ was always a ‘fill time’ single as BMH was growing in the US.

I thought the time it was going to fill would be longer than this though, it's had about 4/5 weeks to even have a chance at cracking top 40. I definitely feel disappointed because I love it more and think it has better potential than this but Levitating is still a solid 9/10.

I much prefer 'Hallucinate' and I agree it's release time has been almost pointless... also BMH hasn't even peaked yet in the US? It's just repeaked this week...
I agree Hallucinate should’ve had more time to shine here seeing as radio is picking up on it really well, and BMH is still climbing up the Hot 100 in the US especially on radio so I hope Levitating coming soon doesn’t hinder its success too much either
I think this is the best thing to do... but I never thought Hallucinate should be a single anyway...
So much for not having any features on the album. :kink:

lkjadagh I just learned 'Hallucinate' is a single and then I find this thread where the first post is about a month old.

I think this is a better single choice than 'Hallucinate' but they should've given it more time or not have bothered with it - but it's a cheap quick lil' hit with a video for which she didn't even have to blink... it brings the money I guess.

Imagine getting a MADONNA collab though! I'm still stunned it's true but M must really love her she isn't really known for collabs although she has used them more since the CD singles era died and we got into downloads / streaming.

Very excited to hear this. I think it'll essentially be a whole new song except possibly the chorus could be the same.

Really? Since 2003, she has collaborated with everyone & anyone who is "down with the kids": Justin, Timbaland, M.I.A., Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Maluma, Cardi B, Quavo, Swae Lee, Anitta, Chance the Rapper, Missy Elliott, Britney, Lil Wayne, Nas, etc. For starters, Madame X featured no less than 5(!) collaborations. Believe me, Madge is desperate to get another hit to her name.

really surprised this is coming so soon

thats great but sadly will kill all chances for Hallucinate

really thought the Madonna duet would happen in like SEPT/OCT

mostly cos Dua's label asked the OCC to remove Physical from the charts and place Hallucinate instead

so it seemed like they were gonna push it properly

but I guess thats why the song is not on HH, cos the one with Madonna is just a few weeks ago

I did then say she’s used more lately however it’s fair to say it’s rare she’s done one with a pop female!

I guess she sees Duas potential and wants to get on board.

Also most of her collabs mentioned above were part of her projects while she featured on someone's else projects very rarely (Britney is the only one that comes to my mind and now Dua).
I am wondering if the remix will be a totally new song ala J.Lo's Ain't It Funny and I'm Real?!!
This is something I'm intrigued to know about as well.
Madonna’s posted a pic with Gwen Stefani and Mark Ronson as well as Missy, Dua and The Blessed??? I NEED ANSWERS
Now I am reading that this will not be pushed as a single, just a promo track for the remix album :nocheer:

I can see this being overshadowed now by all the other big features.

The length of the song is 4:10 and these are some of the new lyrics.

If you wanna dance then show me all your best

cause tonight I might give you that chance

As a side note, the press release says that the track will be out this Thursday, so I assume it will follow the same release strategy as the WW premieres of "Don't Start Now", "Physical" and "Break My Heart", which were at 4pm. PST / 7pm. EST / 11pm. GMT. Also, it seems that there won't be a single artwork because it's going to be the same which Dua made the announcement (including the text Club Future Nostalgia on it).
