Unbelievable :o I never thought a Eurovision track would be playlisted on Radio 1!

Would have preferred if Becky Sigala and Joel got added and DaBaby and Megan got removed

Im pretty sure Ava has been added this late due to its top 20 peak and they realise it has some popularity. Radio 2 had it on the A List for 7 weeks before removing it 2 weeks ago so pretty sure the impact date has past.

 

Thought BMTH could have been A-Listed instantly too and Derulo instant B-Listed. Great to see the stunning Leanne La Havas back on the playlist for another era.

 

Surprised S1mba only made the B-List albeit for 8 weeks considering how well it charted and still is and its something that would appeal to their target audience.

Loreen probably got as many plays in the week after winning as a C-list song but no wasn't officially added.

 

At a guess I would have said Gina G which was a big No1, they probably used to always support Eurovision as TOTP always had them on supporting even when they didn't chart.

It didn't really occur to me that Ava had even been left off until now :lol: cool to see her added anyway, and Daði too just for what it is (I've never got into the song as much as I feel like I should have, it is good but wasn't even in my top 10 Eurovision songs this year!)

 

Great additions from Bring Me The Horizon, Doja Cat and Prospa as well! And looking forward to hearing the new ones from AJ Tracey and Kanye West. Strong week ~

 

'TKN' being dropped already is disappointing but not surprising - hopefully if this does actually become a proper hit they might consider putting future ROSALÍA songs higher than the C-List. Grateful really for them playlisting her at all let alone 3 times as we all know Radio 1 is pretty unforgiving for non English language stuff.

Great to see Like That playlisted. Glad we're finally moving on from Say So. We need another hit!

 

Also, I hope Ava reaches Top 10. Kings & Queens is doing what Torn should've done

That's an interesting point actually, if R2's playlisting of it has been and gone, that means its impact date almost certainly has too, which makes R1's support of it at this point all the more intriguing!
