Round 11 seen us lose a a track I had no idea was such a fan favourite. The albums first full length track Wait Your Turn. The chants of The wait is over matched with a black and white shot video of Rihanna rocking an eye patch and showing off a brand new style is still to me one of her most exciting career moves to date. At this point nothing she had done previously was anything like this and you could tell she meant business. A very respectable third place

Russian Roulette to win ❤️ It deserves so much more recognition than it gets both by stans and the GP :(

Russian Roulette is my winner. It’s amongst my favourite singles Rihanna has ever done. So bold, out there, non generic, dark. I love it.

 

It’s so opposite to everything what made her a star at that point and it was a real risk but it was a great one artistically.

 

The way this has gone though has kinda shocked me so many of my faves left early!

Russian Roulette is mesmerising, but for my overall fave on the album it’s tough between that, Cold Case Love, and Rude Boy for the sheer boppery! I’ve gone back to the last two more this year but I’m actually not sure what my overall favourite is :o

Praise the F'ing lord 'Hard' looks unlikely to win this. What a disastrous winner that would be.

I was just thinking when i seen Gerlads UK #2 survivor (check it out if you haven’t yet...) and I think Russian Roulette is her best near miss as a chart topper.

 

I hope it gets a tour performance again eventually. It’s not one of her signature hits or anything but it’s one of my favourites from her entire discography tbh.
